Now I'm understanding this hard decision a little more....

YOU HAVE TO PICK YOUR dress and if you don't make the decision yourself and go with what Mom wants, you'll resent her and regret that you ever chose the dress.

I went through the same thing with my mom, and she didn't like my dress, and wanted something that looked exactly like everyone else did....I chose my dress b/c I AM WEARING IT (not MOM) - and I couldn't be happier.

While both dresses are beautiful I'm going to have to go with #2

You can go to any wedding these days and most likely the bride is wearing a dress like #1... I love that #2 breaks that mold...the top is gorgeous and I love the color...

Good luck making a decision...don't worry you won't get married in your birthday suit

Can you see yourself in both gowns? Like literally imagine your wedding, walking down the aisle, seeing the expression on FH's face when he sees you for the first time, in either one of those gowns? That helped me in my decision. I remember the first gown that everyone loved on me, my mom was in tears, she said 'that's the ONE' and when I tried to picture myself walking down the aisle in this gown I just couldn't. For me it was like any other dress on any other bride. In fact there have been at LEAST 5 (probably 10) brides on LIW who wore the exact same gown in the past year. The all looked beautiful too, but none of them are me, kwim?

And like I said before, you can't make the decision by how these gowns look on the model. Everyone who's responded, myself included, has responded according to their own personal taste. Take those pictures and decide from their because our taste doesn't matter, it's how each gown looks on YOU that matters. (even though I hope you to pick the one I like better )

Personally I'll go with number one because it's more classic.

Both dresses are obviously gorgeous, but I LOOOVE the second one - the way the fabric falls is pure elegance to me. And, I'm a big fan of the color too!

They're both so different! Personally, i like #1 better...it's beautiful and classic. #2 is also a beautiful dress but is more high fashion than traditional/ bridal. You can't go wrong with either one.

I really like the second one, BUT I suggest you show us pictures of you in them. We might change our minds when we see you wearing them and not some fake looking model.

I agree. I love the bottom, plus it is a bit different, which I LOVE. Both are gorgeous dresses - you really can't go wrong!

we would really need to see the dresses on you, as you've heard ad nauseum.

but, fyi, I showed my mom a pick of my dress and she hates it. she say it on me and HAD to concede that it looked beautiful on me, but it's not her taste and she STILL hates it! LOL

not to confuse you even more, but maybe neither of these can break free from each other because neither of them are the one...maybe there is a similar dress out there that is REALLY calling your name....maybe your attendant could help you out

I like them both A LOT! but if I absolutely had to choose, I would lean towards #1.

I love them both but would go with #2. I love the pick-ups, plus the dress is just different. Would love to see some pictures of you in them!! Where did you try on the Demetrios?

Personally, I like #1 better, b/c I like classic styles. When you look back at your wedding photos in 15 or 20 years, you have to think about whether you want something that looks classic or something that reflects the time you were married. You don't want go go, 'what was I thinking?!' (not that I think you will, but that can happen if you go with a less classic style).

Also, remember on your wedding day, you want people to see YOU, not just your dress. You want them to think, 'what a beautiful bride,' not just, 'wow, what a stunning dress'.
