Yea i am, our wedding date is 3 days before FH's b'day. He is into gambling,so i was thinking casino theme but may stick with my original idea of a house with a sold sign on the front being that he is Real Estate Agent and does mortgage loans.

Darren is a huge Steelers fan, so I'm having a cake of Heinz Field made by our baker who's doing our cake, with Steelers colors, yellow and black. We will have it at our rehersal dinner so he can enjoy the attention.

Re: Groom's Cake
We were thinking about this because actually FH really wants that Nightmare Before CHristmas Cake that was posted a while back...He saw this like a year ago and has not let it go. Anyway we were going to do a cake like this and then the traditional but he is afraid people will think we could not decide on a cake and got two instead. Does anyone ever think this? I know it is a tradition, but he is afraid people will think that....

No not at all, grooms cake are becoming more and more common out there. It really big in the south and huge out here in the West. So people know that there is one traditional, and one representing the groom in any way. But you don't have to have two.
I don't think people will think you couldn't decide on a cake...I mean.....I doubt people will think you were wanting Nightmare Before Christmas as your actual cake

Thanks Nina! It's still something to think about. Not sure what we are going to do yet. He just doesn't want people to think we couldn't agree. I said it wrong before.
Oh well we will see. I'm not crazy about the nightmare before christmas cake as a wedding cake, but it is different and so us (and very very much him). But we have plenty of time to figure this out. Not sure how the cakes are at NRC anyway but my dad is nervous about not getting their cake and relying on a cake being delivered that day - he is worried it might not show or something like that. I don't think that is something to worry about, but I don't know.
