My brother hates dancing and my SIL was worried about that for her wedding day, but she didn't pressure him or even say anything and when the day came, he was out there dancing with everyone all night.

i would say just ask him to make sure he stays at least in the ROOM. sometimes guys will sneak outside with the GMs to shoot the shiit w/o the loud music, or smoke a cigarette/cigar, or get stuck at the bar.
my FH doesn't like to dance as much as i did...but during the entire reception, if he wasn't on the dance floor, he was just BSing with guests at their tables...and could see me and vice versa. all i had to do was yell 'WHERE'S MY HUSBAND!' and he came running...it actually was kind of funny and we laughed each time.

I just thought of another one...think long and hard about any 'surprises' you are doing for DH on the day of the wedding. Remember, he will be in a blurry whirlwind too.
Case in point, I had the DJ play the song the Ravens run out on the field to for our entrance song. While we were waiting to be introduced I looked at DH hoping to see a huge smile and excitement. he was so numb he didnt even really hear the music. we spent the first 45 seconds of our first dance with me being whiney that the special surprise was a let-down. I should have told him the night before or something so that he could appreciate it.

Re: The Official 2007 'Already Married Brides' Advice Thread
Once you wake up that morning let everyone else handle everything. You sit back and take everything in. This is your day. Dont let anything get to you.Dont leave each others side. The day will go faster then you can even imagine. We had some funy moments together. At one point everyone was eating and we had finished he helped me pee . But this was a momemt to talk about forever.
My other advice I read a while back but forgot about it. Get a second coursage for the Groom. After the recieving line at the church the flowers where smushed from all the hugs. We finxed it best we could but a 2nd one would have been easier.
In the end I had alot of details. But they where all noticed. I was glad I put the time to personalize the little things. My guests are still talking about all the details.

I just thought of another one when I was on the treadmill this morning.Dont put ALL the cheesy typical wedding songs on your Do Not Play list..
My favorite memories are when Shout! and YMCA were played because almost EVERYONE was on the dancefloor, old people, young people, non-dancing people. These are also the best part of my proofs too! Everyone loves the YMCA.

A little advise. You don't have to be traditional. !!!!!!!!!!!! If you don't want to cut the cake and feed your husband don't.,.... Who cares!!!!! I had planned on doing this but I didn't want to stop the flow of the reception.Advise from our DJ. was plain and simple no request from the guest. We both agreed that he was the professional and unless the request came from the bride or groom. Fagetabouit!!!!!!

Re: The Official 2007 'Already Married Brides' Advice Thread
MeNBobs4. Tell FH not to call you the day before the wedding if he has any problems. You have enough stuff going on. Mine called me at 7pm, while I was trying to get a relaxing manicure and pedicure, to tell me the sleeves on his dads tuxedo shirt were too short. At 10am that day his dad said everything fit him fine. Did his arms grow? What was I going to do sew the man a new shirt?
Hi Ladies Thank you so much for your advice and I can't wait until I am married so i can put in my 2 cents also.. There are so many things that had me laughing and so many things on here that I will totally take all your advice! But MeNBobs you are hysterical... Did his arm grow in less than 12 hours?
I think I will be 2 nervous to sweat the small stuff... thank you again ladies and I will definately be checking back on this post...

Re: The Official 2007 'Already Married Brides' Advice Thread
GET IT ALL IN WRITING!! If they give you the don't worry about it - worry about it. Why leave yourself out there. You want what you pay for.I didn't do this and I wish I did. When you are in a good place, not rushing around, just sitting home relaxing- write down who you want pics with. I know they have a re-create picture thread but the photographer needs a list of who- names. It will be a great backup for you and your photog will love it!
