Re: The Official 2007 Jerricho Terrace Thread

thats my whole concern and the reason i feel it is tacky. I know all of my guest will not come on time at all so i was thinking of just doing it in the smaller cocktail room.

Re: The Official 2007 Jerricho Terrace Thread

hmm, well its not that it is tacky it just seems like it would be chaotic. they first have to make room for the chafing dishes so i am assuming that they have to move some tables and chairs around to accomodate- it just really seems like it would be awkward. maybe if they had a curtain or slide in door to separate the cocktail section from reception section maybe- but otherwise if it were me i think would rather cram people in a smaller room. its only for an hour, some people come a little late and some people stand around with plates in their hand and nosh...

again its only for an hour...
what do you think?

Ditto. I think it would be a little chaotic.... You should just have it in the cocktail room.. I think I am going 2 showcase as well. I'm going to bring my BP so they can see the place.

Re: The Official 2007 Jerricho Terrace Thread

Im having my reception in the Skylight room on 2/24/08
It seems that Jericho Terrace caters according to each couple. Last I knew the chair covers were included and I always hear a different story about minimums and extra charges...
I guess I will ask more questions during their next showcase.
The 2/7/07 showcase is from 6:30 to 9:30
From what I read a few of you will be there...see you then

Re: The Official 2007 Jerricho Terrace Thread

for my cocktail hour i am in the garden room, and then the dome room foir my reception. when we went to sign the contract, we had to negotiate with the BM that we wanted the chair covers included in the price, so we have that....

i don't know if i am going to the showcase.. i want to go, if i can't make it, i'm definately going to the march showcase...

Are you guys happy with the cake choices at JT?

I am not too happy about the styles and how their bakery decorates the cakes.

hey ladies -

im in the skylight room october 5th (any twins out there!?)

i was wondering about the cakes myself. i know when we met with our BM he said they can make any cake you want we just need a picture. but i see some people are being charged extra if you dont pick one of the standard ones out of the book. anyone know if this is extra?

also, they keep telling me the only do 2 events at a time, but people that have recently attended events there say there was at least 3 weddings at a time. anyone have any insight on this??

Before I booked with JT, they told me they only do 2 events at a time. After I booked with them and I asked them specifically, how many events can go on at a time, they said probably 3 total will be going on the same night as your wedding.

So to answer your question, yes, 3 events can go on at one time there. They did mention to me that it would be okay b/c there is a separate floor for each reception room.

HTH..
