Is anyone going to any of the bridal showcases out at PJCC? My fh and I are going with our parents tonight. I'll post a mini-review to let you know how it goes

Re: The Official Villa Lombardi's and PJCC Thread ( I have noticed some more recent brides!)
I went to the Villa's showcase last weekend. It was nice. The food was great, 10 different chafing dishes, passed hors d'ouvres (potato and spinach puffs, sesame chicken, fried mozzarella, etc) they had a sushi station, seafood (mussels, scungiili, clams) station, pasta station, cheese station....different centerpieces from different vendors on the tables. A Live ensemble playing during the 'cocktail hour' which was really only 1/2 hr. in the ballroom....coffee and cake (chocolate cake or vanilla cake with chocolate mousse and canoli fillings with chocolate chips)Then they have a raffle where the grand prize is a honeymoon.....but they do it at the end. You have to be present to win. They have a live band play and a dj play in the other ballroom, and various vendor stations giving away brochures and also with samples of their work on display.
For $10 pp, how can ya go wrong???? I told my FH I'm a cheap date! lolol

Re: The Official Villa Lombardi's and PJCC Thread ( I have noticed some more recent brides!)
Hi, I am new to this board and wanted to ask the brides having their reception at VL who their banquet manager is? I have Jennie (don't know if she is still there) and I had a question about the beer selection there so I called her 3 times and she hasn't gotten back to me. I find that so suprising because they have been amazing so far. I don't know if any of you guys care, but if you want to bring in another brand of beer outside of Heink, Coors lite, or Bud- they charge you anywhere between 2.5 and 3 $ /head. I drink bud lite- and they told me that I would have to pay that even though they carry bud. Is this not a big issue and I am making it one? I feel stupid being a pain about it but I feel like if you have a contract with bud, it shouldn't cost you anymore to get bud lite. I may be wrong.

I don't mind the rules. I've been to about 4 weddings there and its beautiful. Sometimes I feel when everything is ok, hence other places which will remain nameless, it looks cheezy. With the menus, its a legal thing. most places won't let you do that because of legal issues. If you have their menu on your own paper, lets say it changes or something. Thats why.
I'm a Villa Bride and I can't wait.

I think everyone knows that the food and day-of service through Lombardi's is amazing! However, I have to agree that the pre-wedding customer service was horrible! (At least is was for us) However, I have to add that we booked PJCC when they were still booking at Lombardi's in Holbrook and it has switched over in the mean time. I think we may have gotten lost in the shuffle. We actually decided to change our venue, partially b/c of the customer service issue. HOWEVER, we really have heard nothing but good things about PJCC weddings in past few months. I'm sure you guys will love it .

I was at the PJCC bridal showcase on Friday, 1/21 & I saw Jennie there. Her and Charles have moved over there to do bookings. Gina and some of the other BM's stayed at Villa's in Holbrook.

Just to let you know -- Villa's DOES have a chocolate fountain (I've always heard that it's not allowed there). I spoke to a banquet manager yesterday and was told the price is 10pp (it's actually $8, but they add the service tax, etc. and it comes to 10 bucks). It's a bit expensive, IMO. I'd love to get it though.
