I think that she is very rude. I would appreciate any type of flowers I got.

Not to mention carnations last a lot longer than roses do.

honestly - i dont blame her for being pissed or disapointed - if she expected something else- but her actions were so out of line!!

when you get a gift wheter you hate it or love it - you say thank you and keep it. acting like a total child just proves she was not worth the investment for roses.

As a person who HATES carnations - and I mean I truly loathe them - I would EAT them before I'd dare call the florist or be pissed at a new boyfriend for not getting me roses on v-day. I don't understand people like that. With that attitude she doesn't deserve ANYTHING except to be kicked to the curb.

Here's why I say 2 weeks: when she called him and told him she wanted roses instead, he felt BAD, which means he's a softy and will probably not want to drop her so fast. A lot of guys would have been pissed at her saying that and would have told her to forget any plans for tonight! So I think that because he's a nice guy, it will take him 2 weeks before he gets so fed up with her that he drops her AZZ.

So she calls him and tells him thank you but she doesn't really like carnations and would have prefered roses.. . and he's like well there was a fortune cokie thing that I could've wrote a message in and I thought you'd like these better...

he now feels bad and she feels alittle bad.. I don;t think this relationship will work.... maybe we shoud have a running bet on this one.... she's always entertainment for our office... the only single one left and not too smart

My bet is no more than a month....and I only say that because I am giving her the benefit of the doubt. Let her know that she really should be thankful, because there are plenty of women who didn't get jack squat today!!

I agree she may be very rude and unappreciative but last year I had a similar moment.

I received on V-day this flower arrangement that looked like a funeral arrangement from my FH. Plus the vase was cracked! I was both thrilled and i have to admit a little embarrased when I received them at work. I felt like an ungrateful b**** but it just didn't seem right - not like my FH at all! I immediately called to thank him and he was so cute. I felt terrible to even be such a brat. I brought the flowers home that night and my FH flipped! He had ordered a roses and I got orchids and stuff. The place was out of roses so they tried to pass it off since it was going to work. The said it was a comparable arrangement. CAN YOU IMAGINE!!! I am glad I brought them home or else he would never have known he was getting ripped off!

This year I got beautiful pink daisies. I love that man!

that was so thoughtful of him. she is ungrateful! not everyone has or wants to spend $60-80 on roses (price gougers!) on V-day.

It is not the gift that counts but rather the thought and time this young man put into it. Alot of people get fancy gifts and there is no true meaning and love behind it. This girl should be grateful for what he gave her.

I LOVE roses, and I would want roses. BUT, if I got carnations or anything else, I would be thankful. It is the thought that counts. Maybe she more concerned with what the people in the office would think about him?

I wouldn't get upset. Atleast he thought of her. I honestly don't think that what she did was right.
