wedding dance order???
What's the time-line for wedding dancing?
Does the Bride and Groom have their first dance after they're announced into the reception hall...and THEN the father-daughter dance...and THEN the mother-son dance...and THEN the attendants? Or do the parents have a dance before the couple???
wedding dance order???
We introduced my parents, then his parents, then the bridal party, then us. We danced our first dance alone. Then we had a second dance and invited our parents and the bridal party to join us and halfway through invited the rest of the guests. We did the father/daughter and mother/son dances after we cut the cake midway through the reception.
I've also been to weddings where they have all the dances in the beginning to get them out of the way. You should ask your contact at your reception site what they recommend since they would have to plan accordingly. Good luck!
Don't be too upset about getting upset. With all that's going on & the emotions related to the event, its really easy for the simplest things to seem like deal breakers. We've all done it before and probably will again! Its the nature of the beast......

Good questions -
Though I'm not sure what's proper, I can tell you that many people wait until the cutting of the cake before they leave. If you wait until after the cake to do your important dances, it will be a little chaotic with people leaving & wanting to say good bye to you.
