Birth of Venus- SO GOOD!

Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban- again. I have such a horrible retention for books. Need to read it before the movie.

right now.... 'Please Stop Laughing At Me'....it's a sad book (true story) about a girl who was bullied. People don't realize how much being bullied can affect someone.

Re: What's on your nightstand right now?????

Just finished 'Kissing in Manhattan,' currently breezing through 'The Vagina Monologues,' next up: 'One Hundred Years of Solitude.' It's so nice to be free to read whatever I want instead of what my instructors are assigning! :o)

Re: What's on your nightstand right now?????

I keep my journal on the nightstand so that I can write before I go to sleep so I don't drive myself nuts...too late, I am nuts. But, it makes me feel better. I also have Harry Potter...I know, I am late everyone read it. Shhh, don't tell me how it ends!

Re: What's on your nightstand right now?????

I'm almost done with it.. and so far it's great.

I know the movie got a lot of acclaim but The Cider House Rules was one of his best, IMO.

Re: What's on your nightstand right now?????

I finished the Strange Fits of Passion by Aneta Shreve, it was pretty good.

Now, I'm reading My Sister's Keeper by Jodi Picoult. Its very interesting. Its about a family that has a girl with leukemia, so they have another child genetically engineered to match her so she can be a donor. Now that 'designer' baby is 13 and got a lawyer and is trying to get health emancipation from her parents, b/c her whole life has been about donating to her sister, blood, bone marrow, etc.
