My husband's cousin got pi$$ed becasue we addressed her invitation to 'and guest' (her BF is married in another country) She demanded that we RESEND the invitiation to read Ms XX and Mr. Y and wanted us to apologize to her BF as well. Yeah right!!

I guess she is till checking her mail for it almost 2 years later

I'm laughing so hard with all your posts. Mine isn't that funny but I'll post it anyway...

My godmother (who I haven't seen or spoken to in years) said she would not respond to my wedding unless I sent her, her daughter & her son seperate invitations. (Mind you daughter & son are single, still live at home and don't wish to bring dates.) I was running short so I only sent one for the family.

Now, I have to scrounge up 2 invitations and my wedding is a month away.

you should write the info on loose-leaf paper and send it off in a plain envelope!!!

who I should have in my bridal party becuase girl 1 and girl 2 have not been talking since they were 15 and we will be 32 at the wedding! Also, when to order the BM dresses because she is trying to deceide when she is going to be pregnant!

None of my stuff even compares with these. Some people are sooo rude! And if someone if my family INSISTED that I send another invite to their children they would be waiting for many, many years! My invites were not inexpensive so I would not do that.

My SIL had a hairy fit that I invite her family.
I did to keep the family peace even though none of them ever invited us to their weddings,childrens christenings,etc.
The funny thing is: none of them are coming.
She *****ed and complained that we invite them and they aren't coming. How funny is that!

I have TWO good ones...both committed by my in-laws side of the family....

First, my MIL insisted that we invite my husband's sister's in-laws. Well, they came and they are on my video. BUT, my SIL's husband left her about 2 months after my wedding!

At our reception, my husband's great-aunt from California decided that b/c we had a live band, she would like to play kareoke! Well, someone asked my Mom before they approached the band, and my Mom didn't know what to say (and didn't want to be rude), so she said okay. So, the great-aunt marches up to my band and asks to sing. My band leader, also not wanting to be rude, allows this person to sing. She does not have a great voice to begin with, and she had a cold that day so needless to say...SHE SUCKED! You can tell in my video that the band was trying to wrap the song, and she kept gesturing to keep playing! UGH! This was the only low-light to my day...thank goodness it didn't last too long!

MY FMIL doesnt discuss the wedding, EVER!! Says she cant afford to help either, which is fine by both of us. THen one day asks me if the video guy was coming to HER house on our wedding day to film, because then she would get new carpet????????

My sister who is one of my MOH's actually suggested that my bridal party wear a dress that she wore as a bridesmaid in her SILs wedding. I understand where she is coming from because it would be beneficial to her not to spend money on another dress but she wanted my girls to borrow the dresses from the SILs bridal party! She obviously forgot what she was like while planning her wedding because she made me buy pantyhose from Saks that cost more than my shoes

Michelle, we had a similar request about the & guest. We also forgot to send an invite to a family relative of hubby's. So we sent it to the wrong place. It went to his mother's house. But she wouldnt just give it to him...because walking next door was too far LOL. So I had to resend it, so it went to the right house.
After all that trouble...that whole side of the family replied NO

And what about the annoying people that just because they know you they think that they are invited to your wedding? I got this collegue that comes from the same country than me ... and each time she sees me, before even asking how I am doing, she asks me if I already have a date?????

I have been evasive about it .. but next week I am sending a collective email to friends that live abroad or other collegues here in USA that I won't be inviting (including her) to let them know that I am getting married, and that my celebrations is small. With this gesture I will let them know out of politeness when I am getting married and the people who truly like us will think of it as a nice gesture. At the same time I will be clear with her and whoever has the same attitude that they are not in my list ... I can't imagine to be the next 6 months trying to be evasive!

Here's my story. Not as good as some I read. LOL.

One of my sisters, who's a MOH ( I have 2 - a best friend is the other one) demanded that she be set apart from the other MOH. SHe wants her OWN title. I'm still trying to accomodate her. All I could come up with is Sister of HOnor instead, which sounds dumb.
On top of her own title, she wants her skirt (they are wearing 2-pieces) to have a TRAIN !!!!!!! I told her I'm the only one who could have a train, lol.
She still doesn't understand why she can't have a train. Me and my other sister think she is ridiculous, LOL
But she's my sis, you gotta love her.

My mother wants the song 'fly' by Celine Dion to be played. The song is about her niece who died of leukemia I think. The song will NOT be played.

My stepmother after I told her that I wasn't having any kids at my wedding except my flowergirls emailed me & asked me to reconsider & invite my stepbrothers 2 kids (8 & 11 when I get married) who I NEVER see & they don't even know who I am. At almost $100 a head I DON'T THINK SO!!!!!
