Membership fee for both of us:

$365 for 2005
$365 for 2006

and $365 membership fee for our 'koumbaro' (sponsor).

we are paying 750 that includes the precana, church, and organist. we have to also pay 150 and if we are not more than 5 minutes late will receive it back.

$575, and we paid $65 for Pre-Cana

You'd think we were getting married at the Sistine Chapel! It's the church we both grew up going to, so I'm glad to be getting married, there, but it is SO NOT PRETTY.

250 if i remember correctly, plus an extra 150 for the organist. our fees sound pretty low but it still kind of bothers me. as though all those years of weekly donations and tuition didn't happen.

Mine is $590 mandatory donation!!! but that pays the organ player, and the choir as well as the donation! Still!!

Ours is $500, and an additional $50 if we want our DJ to handle the music. Mind you we are getting married at our reception hall!!!!

i totally agree with you. when me and fh went and sat down with our priest and we talked about when we were going to have the wedding and blah blah blah we then got into fees. our church is like $750- and they call it a donation. so when the priest said that i was shocked. i said right to him i can donate $750.00 if i have it or i can donate any amount that i want right since its a donation??? he then turned around to me and said no its manadtory. i looked at fh and i said then thats no donation that is a fee that i HAVE to pay. and your completely right the church is only out for their money.

i think mine is $500.
to be honest i was surprised it was not more, with how much we were paying for every other wedding expense.

It's $250 for minister, if you aren't an active member of the church (witch I am thank God

) it's another $250, there is also a mandatory clean up fee.... then there is the soloist $100
organ $100
Pew bow $2 per bow
Flower $60 for 4 (but you can also use your own florist)
and about $1 each program

all of those are extra so you really only have to pay the $250, HOWEVER, if you cannot afford it, they will work w/ you. I think that's how it should be!

But, because it's a 'donation' it becomes tax deductable!! Or at least thats what I was told...

Ours is $700. It includes pre-cana, organist and singer. The worst part is that I'm not using thier priest, their organist or their singer and I still have to pay that that $700.

Oh yeah, it's a DONATION too. I can't believe they can get away with that.
