Both are walking me down.

I think its nice to honor your brothers. If your father doesn't say anything to you about, then it doesn't really need to be your problem. I think your plan of him meeting you halfway is nice!

I would definitely have your brothers walk you part of the way & then your dad...they mean a lot to you & its your wedding....do what you think is the right thing.

Help::::::i need advice.....my dad left when i was 5 and hasnt been that big a part in my life.......and ive always been close to my two older brothers, since my mom died i feel like they are all i got...now my plan was to have my brothers walk me half way up the isle and my dad the rest with my brothers behind me.......but im getting the feeling that my dad feels upset and insulted but he wont come out and say it....and i definately dont want drama on my wedding day....what do u think.......

my dad left our family, too, and i have no intention of even inviting him to the wedding, no matter what kind of drama it causes! you have a right to feel comfortable and walk with people who love and care for you.
ps i am walking with my best friend/MOH!

Both of my parents will walk me down. I think you should talk to your dad about it, and ask how he feels. This is his only chance to do this, and despite him not being around in the past, he obviously wants to be involved now, so I think you should def. consider it. Who know's you might be closer than ever after all is said and done.

I think you should talk to you father about how he is feeling and explain to him how you feel also.

As for your situation, it depends on how close you have gotten to your dad. You said that after he left, he hasn't been that big a part of your life. This is your day and if your brother's are the most important other men in your life, it would be beautiful to have them walk you down. Go with your heart!
