I am amazed at how many people, friend and family, asked me how much my weddings is costing, cost per person, etc. FH and I are in the process of buying a house and people even have the balls to ask how much the house costs, our mortgage payments, tax, whatever they can think of. People are friggin' weird sometimes.

So rude - I only had one person ask that at the begininng of planning, a friend. I was so stunned I had no idea what to say-I just looked at DH like ???huh???

yikes. that is tacky. make sure you know how much his wedding is per head and bring 1/4 of that amount in pennies.

yeah, that's tacky. but i've had a few people ask me that as well. if they really persist, i say well...the halls i went to quoted me prices of $75-$200/pp. so somewhere in there.

lol.....well ive def come across this problem so far.......i had no prob telling my mother and sister.....but FH's family .....they are so ooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo nosey! lol......they all know eachothers mortgage payments .......salary....you name it! thats the first quest they asked about our hall........needless to say...i feel your pain.

people are nosy, especially when it comes to $$$.

For example, my FMIL (who is a nice woman, we are not particularly close, but she never sticks here nose in where it doesn't belong) said, when finding out we are having a DJ instead of a band (they are not contributing any $$ to the wedding), that people are going to open their envelopes at the wedding and take out $$!!!!

I was like, are you crazy??? I don't care what people give me, as long as they come and have a good time - and I would never do that to anyone else-you give what you can give, thats that!!!!
