I wouldnt mind the older kids they always get shafted

I dont mind doing a personal donation, Im in $20-$40.

I feel bad these kids have nothing, I can go without getting my nails done

ive been counting down to my nails growing a bit so i can go get my manicure/pedicure!

Im sure we can do this with less than $20 per head. for kids, less is more

I know Anna every dollar helps, but when and where are we doing this?

Id actually like to volunteer for the women, maybe donate old suits for work, help with resume etc. Women helping women

So far the place I found is called LittleFlower.
I guessed its a home for kids who are in the midst of trouble in the family (parents unable/unfit to care for them) and then they go home after all is better.
Their website is littleflower.org

I think the place with women and work clothes is only in the city. I wanted to donate clothes to them.

Little Flower is an orphanage...children who have lost their parents can go there to live - it is not for troubled children. These children live at the orphanage until they are adopted. Their website is: Little Flower.

The primary goal of Little Flower Children's Services is to care for infants and children who have lost their most precious gift - their family. Founded in 1931 by Monsignor Bernard Quinn the pastor of Saint Peter Claver Church in Brooklyn with the support of hundreds of loyal parishioners who raised funds to purchase a farm in Wading River, NY on the rural north shore of Long Island. This farm became the site of a residence and school for homeless, inner-city children.

Hello girls!! I just came up with a great idea. I remember anna saying that LittleFlower said it might be better to do something for the kids after the holiday season. Well what if we ask anyone attending the get together at the Hilton to bring a new toy no more than $20. Maybe this way we would be able to come up with a good amount of toys to deliever to the kids. Just an Idea let me know what you think.

just as my 2 cemts on this - if you do ask everyone atttending the gtg to bring a present - make sure you have them write a small tag on the outside of the fit saying what inside, maybe even gender, age group, etc......we did this when we held a toy drive once and it worked so much much easy to help distribute them!!
