Hello fellow Woodbury CC Brides. I just wanted to let you all know that yesterday I went for a taste testing. I scheduled this testing for two reasons: to taste the food ofcourse and to see the place in the month that I am getting married.
So, I was given food from four stations: the italian station, the carving station, the french station and the tex mex station. Also, i was given samples from the pass ourderves. Overall, I was happy with the service. Everyone was so nice. I really enjoyed the italian station(the penne ala vodka was really good). i didn't care so much for the french station (though my mother said that the snail dish was great). we took a tour of the grounds, and I was happy to see all the newly planted flowers. It was beautiful!!! It became sooo real...I think FH had a heart attack!!! If you have any questions, feel free to ask.

Im a WCC bride and everyone was amazing!! I got the Mills room, upstairs. The food was great and so was service.

You will have no worries! GL girls!

Hi, I'm about to book my wedding there. Any tips for the contract? Also, if you had your choice which room would you pick upstairs or downstairs, for a summer wedding?

Congratulations!!!!!!! Regarding the contract just make sure everything you discussed and wanted is in the contract. For example if you wanted certain beers or wine, certain types of food,etc. Who is your BM?

I am in the downstairs room and I think that would be nice for a summer wedding because people will be able to go outside and walk around the fountain and the gardens but not have to go to far

Yeah, that's the reason that we like that room too. I'm worried though what if it rains!!!! Let's just pray that it won't I'm going to give my deposit today, yeay!!!!! My father is coming with me, so I really hope he likes it.

My cousin got married yesterday and her reception was at WCC, she had it in the downstairs room, unfortunately, bc of all the rain, they tented the outside terrace for the CH, I will give a more detailed mini review when I get back from FH's house tomorrow evening.

Please do give a review when you have a chance. I'm getting married outisde near the pool with the outside cocktail hour and downstairs room and besides hearing what a wedding there is like I'm really wondering what it would be like if it rains– what was it like in the tent, was there enough seating during cocktail hour, was there someone taking drink orders at all the tables during the reception, etc. Thanks so much for any info you can pass on!

Ok, lets try this again, I just typed the whole thing out and when i tried to post it, I wasnt logged in anymore and lost the whole thing.
Ok, well mother nature wasnt smiling all day on friday, but at least it stayed dry until we were on our way to WCC.
Pics were supposed to be taken outside, but we took them on the lower level outside of her room since it was raining.
We were brought some trays of CH food and drinks. Every time we had to put our drinks down for pics, by the time we were finished, they must have come and picked up the drinks which was annoying.
CH started at 730, but most people arrived around 7 and were kept on the main level and they had champagne and pastries being handed out, it was a little crowded though.
The CH was half inside and half outside in a heated tent.
Some of the stations she had were a fajita bar with Coronas, and pasta station, caviar and champagne and a tiki bar (didnt like the drinks, they werent very tasty)
Once the CH was over, the introductions were done which was a little of a blur since I was so nervous to make my speech.
I dont really remember what kind of appetizer it was, but it was good.
I had the steak for dinner, which was delicious, it just seemed that there was a long wait between the appetizer, salad and dinner.
It was very easy to get drinks, no long waits and they had lots of different liqours.
Dessert was great, it was some kind of a cream puff with ice cream.
The cake was awesome, chocolate with cannoli filling and buttercream icing.
Everyone seemed very helpful, if you have any particular questions, feel free to FM me and when my cousin gets back from HM I will try to get you any answers.

Congratulations to all of you WCC brides!

My wedding was fabulous and the Woodbury really took care of us. We have not one complaint about anything.

The grounds were immaculate and my pictures are beautiful.

As for WCC vendors, we used was Glenmar for photography. I was very pleased with Glenmar, my proofs were ready before I even got back from my honeymoon! I have so many proofs, that I couldn't decide on which ones to pick for my album.

We also used Flowers by Matthew, who did a fabulous job! His prices were really good too and the flowers lasted all day and did not wilt, even in 90 degree weather in July!

Hi, how many people were you allowed to take at the food tasting? Also, did you get to see any main entree presentation? It seems like they don't let you taste the main entrees.

There were 5 of us, you can have up to six. Basically they seat you in an office with a table and you get to sample the cocktail hour of whatever wedding/party is going on at the time. They brought in a tray with the 'butler serviced' food (lamb chops, baked clams, shrimp, etc) and then a tray from the Italian station. No entrees. It was plenty though, we were stuffed!

Here is a question for all past WCC brides and brides who have completed their menus.

I have my menu selection meeting tonight and I have a question. I should know the answer but I totally forgot some details since November. (When we booked the place. Wow that was awhile ago. ) Here's some background: My FH, parents and I were going over the menu last night and we are choosing the pasta and salad as our appetizer, but apparently my parents think there should be a different appetizer and then pasta as the first course. So now for my question.

I know there is appetizers and a salad section of the menu. I also know you can choose 1 appetizer and 1 salad or a duet combo. I was wondering, when guests go into the reception room after the cocktail hour is there some sort of antipasto set up?

I guess what I am trying to say (trying key word) is there something for guests to snack on once they enter the reception hall from the cocktail hour besides the appetizer/salad. If not, do you think it is something we can request?

Any help would totally be appreciated. TIA

I just finalized my menu last week. At cocktail hour there is sooo much food, your guest will be stuffed. Between the stations and the butler service it's sick. For one of our coctail hour selections we chose the pasta station. So we chose to go with the apetizer duet ( chicken mushroom vol-au-vent and a mesclun green salad) ..
