Re: Would Bridal Party be offended if no rehersal dinner was given?
The RH dinner is optional and I don't think they will be offended. FH and I have discussed the RH a few times because since several of the bridal party members are coming in from out of town we don't think we will be able to arrange it or not.

We're not having one either. We are getting married at the reception hall and so there won't be a rehersal. I was going to get my family (all of them traveling over 900 miles, 5 states) together, but there a serious family rift going on. They are relieved there is no dinner!

I'm not having a dinner either. Half of my BP lives in NYC or out of state so I don't want them to rush to get to LI just for dinner.FH and myself will go to the church for a walk through and then go out to dinner with our parents.
Small, simple, relaxing.

Re: Would Bridal Party be offended if no rehersal dinner was given?
I suppose if you were having a bridal luncheon it would be ok, but in MHO, you should have a rehearsal dinner. Even if it is just a 6 foot hero or some ziti and italian bread and wine at your apt., or the back room of a local pizza place. Your bridal party is probably spending a decent amount of time and money to help make your wedding special, I think this is a nice way to show appreciation. It's also nice to get together a day or so before the wedding, so any of them that don't know each other or don't know each others dates can meet and feel more comfortable at the wedding. This goes double if people are traveling from out of town. Again, JMHO, no offense to anyone who is not having one.

Re: Would Bridal Party be offended if no rehersal dinner was given?
We are not having a rehersal dinner. Mostly this is a financial decision, as we are paying for most of the wedding. In addition, I really dont think that I want to be entertaining the night before my wedding, even if it was a low key BBQ or something. I just know I would end up coordinating the entire thing, and dont want any extra stress the night before. I will probably have my BMs at my house for the night anyway, along w. my mom and my sister (MOH).

i am in the same exact situation. getting married at the hall, no rehearsal. Im paying, planning and doing everything for my wedding. no BP, just MOH and 2 FG's. I was thinking it would be nice to take the immediate family out for dinner but now I am torn because FH immediate family is soooo large! My mom is from FL so im thinking maybe just my mom, her husband and his dad only... still working this out.Welcome New Vendors
