Your pictures are amazing!!!!!!!!!!!!! It looks so beautiful.... too bad I'm a big chicken and being that close to nature and animals freaks me out!

Amazing pictures! This looks so exciting and a wonderful place to visit. Congrats on a fabulous honeymoon. And you are right that tent was nothing like what I would have expected. Wow! Great review and fun to read. Thanks for sharing!

OMG that is AMAZING!!!! A safari and visiting Victoria Falls are two things at the TOP of my list. If I was ever ANYWHERE that a monkey just randomly ran through my tent, I think I'd die on the spot. And baboons just chilling on the hotel property with you????? It's like heaven on earth to me!!!

I can't believe how amazing everything is, thank you so much for posting this! And if you have any more pics you want to post, I'd LOVE to see them!!!!!

By Popular Demand...A few more pictures...

Pic 1. Termite Mound.
This mound was about 10 feet high. Termite mounds are all over the bush. On our second evening game drive, we were having cocktails (w/ the Wildebeest

), when all of a sudden, ALL of the termites in the bush erupted from their mounds & flew into the air!!!

It was actually a beautiful sight from afar, then the termites got closer... In my hair, one in my eye, found a couple of dead ones in my bra!!!!

You literally have to keep your mouth closed on the drive back to camp, unless you like the taste of termites.

Luckily, it only happened one night, & it was because of rain two nights prior.

Pic 2. Baboon Spider
The size of a Tarantula!! It was creeping out of it's hole. Bite is quite painful from what I hear, but not poisonous.

Our handsome guide Tiaan, challenges us to a 'Giraffe Poo Spitting Contest'...
We thought he was joking until he actually put the poop into his mouth (it's actually like small pellets) & shot it down the dirt road!!!!

No one else did it (actually, I almost did, buy Lou said he wouldn't kiss me the rest of the trip if I did).

Pic 1. Bug in our tent.
Don't know what kiind of bug it is, but harmless.

Pic 2. Beautiful Purple Trees that are all over S. Africa. Don't know if they're indiginous to S. Africa or not, just thought they were pretty.

We also made a stop @ Penguin Island- adorable little penguins running all around you!!! All with a turquoise water backdrop-What could be better!!!

omg everything sounds awesome!! i am a penguin freak, i want to go th Penguin Island!!

WOW!! simply amazing...i never new south africa was so Gorgeous..I hope one day to be able to get my DH to travel there (he hates to fly).

The flowers, the clouds, the animals are so beautiful so different and something everyone should see at least once.

Thanks for sharing, it's nice to see such DIFFERENT places in the world.

Great pics-no wonder you recognized Verdi's quality- you have a great eye for it yourself-I can't believe that you didn't fully know how to use your camera! Please tell me that you at least used the 'landscape' 'flower' settings! They came out SO well!! FH and I are basically sold on SA but want to be sure that we are going to safe locations-we'll def check out In & Out Travel now!

I heard mixed things about the safety in Cape Town-how did you find it? Was Zimbabwe (sp-?) just run down or were there crime issues there as well?

Right now, this is my top choice! I'd love to see your itinerary and a ball park on your cost if that's alright- FH and I want to spend about $5,000-is it possible to do all that you did for that much? (with my luck-I'm sure you can't!)
