Fox Hollow Somerley Brides - Help!

Hey Ladies,

If any of you are having your wedding in the Somerley Suite at Fox Hollow, and are having more than 150 guests, I was wondering if I could see how the room was set up (obvi before you get there). I am trying to figure out how many people to invite, and I know they say the room holds 216, but I'm nervous. So I kind of just want to see how the room is set up for guests between 150-175.

Let me know if you girls can help!!!

You can set the room up however you want... I am working on posting a pic of the suggested layout. I had my final meeting with them last week. We will have about 175 guests... The layout that I'm going to post shortly shows the max (216), so just remove whichever tables you want and that's your layout. Also, the Music and Bar area can be switched. I think I'm going to do that.

Ugh! I hate that the file size limit is so low... Its in my album under Somerley...HTH!

Curious to see the layout too. The minimum they gave me for that room was 75 minimum for afternoon wedding.

Hey girls I just looked at the Somerley last night. I'm a little concerned about the cocktail hour space for 150 people. Nothing was set up when we went b/c they are having some sort of meeting. I can't imagine the room fitting people to sit down. Do they use the main room as well w/ tables and chairs? Please help! Forgot to ask questions when I was there!

I was quoted at 140 for Friday/Sunday and 150 for a Saturday.

I was concerned about the same thing! They use part of the actual Somerly Room for CH. They roll out a moveable wall and you basically use the dance floor area as part of the CH room. They bring in high tables and chairs, and you can use your band/dj as part of the CH.

Also, I was told that they're in the process of changing the smaller CH room around. For example, we were told that they are going to make the window sill areas into food stations, so that will eliminate a lot of floor space. HTH!

That is so helpful!!! Thank you so much. It's so hard since they haven't done too many weddings in that room and are still learning the in's & out's. Love the room - it's so gorgeous :) If you're interested - there is a wedding on Sun night in that room if you wanted to check it out all done up.

Were you able to talk your price down a bit?

Unfortunately I didn't try. It was a price that we were comfortable with, and a lot less than other places we had seen. Before they gave us a price, FH and I were sitting down trying to guess what they were going to quote us at, and we were shocked at the price they came back to us at. I think you get a ton for the price. I'll FM the price.

are you girls having your cocktail hr in the somerly also with the wall up? how come i see some brides used both rooms the somerley and then the winter garden for there cocktail hr?

Really?! I didn't know this was an option? Are they doing this off season or for a day or Sunday wedding?

I didn't talk mine down but it was a price we were comfortable with, and it was still considered 'pre-construction pricing' but I'm really curious if thats what we really got

I'm having a saturday afternoon wedding and they put up the wall in the Somerley so they can use some of the space there for cocktail hour. I'm only having 80 people but i did do my final meeting with them and they gave us the layout papers that says 216 max.

Not gonna lie...if it is 216 I am relieved. My minimum is 150 and if the threshold was 175...there wasn't too much room for error. I am inviting 220!

im not sure i know the first somerley bride did that and i read in the review on here that another somerley bride did also?? a little confusing...im just really worried how cocktail hr looks i need to see it
