I got a No Card TOO
and it was the lady that Caught my Bouquet,
was I ****ed about that already,

my biggest pet peeve at weddings As always been when someone You dont know Catches the bouquet!!

Guess what that happened at my wedding, I would say the only person I didnt KNOW at my Wedding!
it was one of mikes dads friend, who was supposed to bring her brother for bagpipes,
well Thank Goodess I already had someone relaible for the Bagpipes,

she came late ( I think drunk) without her date and NO CARD or anything,
she is all over my video and the men.

when she caught the bouqet I walked away I was ****ed,
didnt stand around for the garter thingy,
none of the guys wanted it you can tell alot didnt get up and then mikes brother caught it a tossed it to one of mike Upsuspected (drunk) frineds,

this woman will be on my sh** list forever,
there has been always something about her I didnt like,

I did have a car worker who forgot her card and still hasnt given it to me,
but oh well
and a few that came in the mail, also forget!!

I remember a girl who came to my shower and my BP had the ladies who attended write a nice note to me with what gift they brought, so that when I was writing the TY, I would state the gift in it. She wrote on the back of her card, a lenox vase or something like that. Told me she would meet me for lunch and give it to me. Never did. Came to my wedding no card or gift either, still waiting on the shower gift too oh well, and she has not spoken to me since, I wonder why. If you did not give a gift or plan to give a gift, why make up these ridiculous stories.

Shamma I actually think that's worse than not giving a gift at all. Why tell someone you have something for them and never give it to them. Then you really look like a liar

we had 2...but got a card from one 3 months later...

the ones that p*ss me off more is the people who didn't show up...and didn't give a gift...

one coworker who did this...was told by someone that we still had to pay for her...and still no gift...

I agree, even if they can not afford to give you a gift, they should at least give you a card with their well wishese!

You'd be surprised how many people wait and say that 'I have a year to give a gift.'

We got married about 1-1/2 ago and there were about 3 guests that did not give us anything.

It's seems pretty common- we had 2 people (singles) come to the wedding and give us NADA - no card, no gift. 9 months later still nothing...so you may have to write them off. We also had 2 guests show up with no date but had replied +1. At 125 a head (after tax/grats/addins) - we ****ed up two plates right there....welcome to after weddings. it happens but it ****s.

Join the club! LOL I had 2 stiffers at my wedding - one was DH's FIRST COUSIN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! People amaze me. How hard is it to go to TJ Maxx if on a budget and find a glass vase for $15? Just SOMETHING to bring to the wedding as a gift - I was really POed about mine, so I know how you feel

I didn't count (yet) but I had several stiffers myself. In my case, people RSVPd that they were coming or coming with their wives/husbands and then they didn't show AND they didn't give a gift for ONE let alone for 2. When I say gift, I mean, no card...NOTHING.

Jenn, I had 4 people attend the wedding and they did not even give a card (forget a gift)! Also, I had paid for 3 people that did not show up! AHHHH it still makes me mad.

Honestly, this is just par for the course. So many people are just plain rude and have no tack, nor do they care about others. I mean, I had to ADD a whole table because these cousins of Scott's RSVPd yes but then they never showed up! That meant more favors, and another centerpiece! No gift, no card, no phone call from these people.

I am not even going to get started on this topic. I had too many cheapos at my wedding. It was so bad that I refuse to count them.

We had two people do that too. I never thought people did this, but after hearing all this, I know people do. I dont know what is wrong with people either...

We had a few people not even give us a card.
We couldn't believe it. We also had a handful of no-shows. People are unbelievable!

Again, it just amazes me that this happens at every wedding no matter what. As for the posts that said people lied on top of it and said a gift was on the way, we had that too. They were nobody in my life, but my husbands #%&*@$ cousins.

we were lucky that everyone gave cards and gifts but I had to pay for three plates of yeses that didnt show!!! One couple and one single guy

We had 2 cheapo's. One couple & one single guy. The guy even had the nerve to pick up the singer in the band! No card from either! The others who didn't give gifts came later ... which is at least better than nothing! I just don't understand how someone comes to a wedding with NOTHING ... not even a card! How hard is it to stop at CVS to get a card for $2.99!!!!

We must have been really lucky. Everyone who came to our wedding gave us either a card or a gift. We even receieved gifts from people who couldn't attend.

Makes me wonder why people can't even bring a card. Geesh!
