I just started my new job as a social worker at school in upper manhattan and i agree - i have the same jitters. but being a dean - that's high up! how's it going?

Social worker is heavy stuff too! I did that job before and its incredibly hard- my heart goes out to you.

Being the dean is awesome- I love the responsiblity to make decisions- we have a pretty strict dress code in our district now and I was sick of seeing boobs hanging out everywhere so I decided no more spaghetti straps- My principal is like, sure, you are in charge of that. I really love it and I am at an incredible school so its extra special.

Good luck with your job- It is such an important one!

thank you so much for your vote of confidence - it can be scary/overwhelming being a social worker - i feel very intimidated by the principal and APS, just trying to do my job and help the kids but it is hard.......tough stuff i see. it definitely puts things in perspective!!!
