hehe I'm so excited for the opener!!! DH was at the Nationals game last night at the new park and I can't wait to see the Mets crush the Nats when they come down later this season.

Liz, i was thinking about you yesterday! i know you live there and was wondering if you went!

My brother got last minute tickets but only had one extra. So I let DH go. He and some friends run a National's fan site (shameless plug), and was bummed that he couldn't get tickets, so when my brother called, I made him take it. I drove him down to the stadium since my brother called him less than 3 hrs before start time. the stadium looks amazing (I got stuck waiting in traffic while the USSS getting the President to the stadium, so I got a good long look!).

I did get to see the stadium from afar from our balcony though. We over look the river from the VA side, and I was able to see the fighter jets fly over and the fireworks. it was so cool, even with the ESPN feed being a little behind.

the stadium does look really nice... DH and I want to take a trip there to see a game this year!
