De, I'm so sorry your family is going through this. I hope and pray that he will be just fine and this is just a scary time that will be a blip on the radar of a long and healthy life. I can't even imagine how you must be feeling right now, but you've got a lot of people thinking of him today so hopefully all those good thoughts will give you some comfort and give him some strength.

Here's my 2 cents, though - leave work. If you can swing taking the time off, go be with your sister. Your head is not in work mode today so you're not doing yourself or your office any good by sitting there when you really want to be with your family. It will be good for your peace of mind if you can go be with her.

awww I'm so sorry you guys have to go through this. My thoughts and prayers are with you. Maybe this will help.. I was born less then 4lbs, and had a ton of problems the first few months of my life, and I'm perfectly healthy, and that was 26 years ago, and technology has advanced so much since then, so there is hope!!! call me if you just want to talk, I'm here for ya!

AWWWW.De....my heart goes out to u and ur whole fam. I know how hard it is to see a little helpless child who is suffering... iknow that anything that anyone tells u right now it will not make u feel better but what i can tell u is to try to stay stong beacuse Technology and meds have come so far that almsot anything is possible.
Stay storng and try to think positive.
I will be praying for the lil guy!

Deanna I am so sorry to hear Zachary is sick I can relate to this so much. My nephew, Declan, was born in November and he also has some fluid in his lungs. He was a C-section baby was Zachary? The doctor told my brother when babies are born that way it is common for them to ingest some fluid on the way out. It is very scary but I know from experience your nephew will be okay.

Declan, was born in Rhode Island so I was only able to see the pictures of him with wires all over and felt so sad and awful that I could not go visit him. He was in the incubator for almost a week but I can say he is now a healthy 3 month old.

Many prayers for you, your sister and her DH and of course Zachary.

thanks so much for helping me... i have heard from a couple people that this can happen... my sister had a natural birth .. thats why we are soo confused as to why this is happening.
im glad to know that your nephew recovered... hope Zachary can as well!!
