Sonicstef- Martell's is a bar/restaurant on 52nd and 2nd Ave. We went to a shower there and it was really nice.

I would really really like to come!!
I cant do Fridays but most other nights are fine.
I know I have said that about all of them, but so far the dates have just not worked out for me.

Sounds good...but would it be really crowded? It seems all midtown restaurant bars are completely jammed on Friday nights but maybe i keep going to the wrong ones ahahahha

(This just may be me but i think the noise factor at the place is big issue. It makes it harder to get to know everyone when you cant hear what the person next to you is saying)

Sage - I like your idea of coming up with a list and thanks for helping. There is a place by my work that has a private room type thing in the back. I can check them out and let you know. It is a bar with food but it is pretty low key...Let me keep thinking I may come up with more suggestions...

I'd love to meet in the city one Friday night (as long as its not the 23rd of Jan - we'll be on a cruise).

If people are willing to go downtown there are a ton of really cute restaurants in Tribeca where I work and they don't get to crowded on Fridays since its mostly a residential area.

aw...i wish i could join you....but i think anytime in january might be a little on the dangerous side for me. would hate to ruin the gtg with a trip to the hospital!!!!

if i can think of any places though, i will let you know - i have searched places a million times for small gatherings....

The traffic is CRAZY on Fridays, especially to get to the city.
I get off at 5:30, I guarantee it would take me 3 hours to get to the city. By the time I got there, I would be so tired from the bumper to bumper drive I wouldnt even enjoy myself even if it were still going on

Hey ladies! I haven't read every post to this thread but I'd love to be part of this. I actually FM'd Ron when he first posted the thing about the GTG and asked if there would be anything for newleyweds and he never even responded!

I was especially bummed b/c way back when I won the prize for a LD bride to come, expenses-paid, to a GTG and I wasn't able to make the cruise. I wish LIW would have something for us that I could come to!! But, if not, please keep me in the loop on anything you ladies plan. I will be up in NY during the holidays and it would be fun to meet up!
