I might be a maybe. One of the NWs that lives by me isnt coming anymore and I am waiting for the other one. I am not really comfortable taking the train alone somewhere I have never been. . .still waiting though so hopefully she responds!!!!

girl you HAVE to come!!!!! we are so sharing a cab ride home!! we live 2 blocks away from each other, it'll be like $15 each to go home! if I wasn't coming from NJ to get there, I'd take the train with you!

and as for the A train.......I take it every day and although its a pain in the neck - you are COMPLETELY safe when traveling during rush hour!! especially getting on in Howard Beach, you get so many tourists boarding from the airtrain! bring something with you to read so you don't even have to look at anyone.......you'll be fine! I promise!

Being the nut that I am, I have this thing where I hate talking to complete strangers on the phone.... aka, like taking to customer service people OR calling and making reservations. It just makes me all uncomfortable and weirded out doing it.

With that being said, I could totally but on my Big Girl panties and call Mustangs tomorrow and make a reservation for us. However, I figured Id take the slim chance and see if anyone wanted to call on our behalf

I swear between not going out in public without makeup and my refusal to call strangers....Im thinking therapy is in my future

Ladies I have to say...Its NYC nto SIberia. Taking the train is the easiest thing out there. Don't be lazy, don't be afraid. Nothing to fear. I take subways and trains all the time. I would be taking one that night if the NJ transit line is still running when I leave so I will be walking to Penn Station and can walk back with anyone who's worried. I will personally go and pick your butt up at the station. Its PACKED in that area especially on Friday night. Your complaints will be that its TOO Crowded, not that its isolated.

Seriously, Donna worked hard on organizing this and you were all on board so unelss its a real issue like financial or another function that conflicts, just come. Dont drop out a day before. I have an extra box of big-girl pullups (needed em at work yesterday when I got in BIG Trouble and almost peed myself ) so I will share.

yEA! LOL I will either take the PATH or NJ transit which is right inside so I can walk with anyone worried about getting lost. It is a big daunting place but you figure it out-just follow the crowd.

LOl waaa waaa. I don't drive so I got 0 sympathy for you. I have been travelign a trek and a half since HS.

When I want to see my Mama and DH isnt around I walk my butt to the bus, sit for 45 minutes to get to the city, then take a subway and sit for an hour (or more because I need to take a buss from the train) till I get there. i live out in okie panoke NJ. no sympathy para nadie! Come! you will have a good time!

me too! i work on 40th and Park. I usually like to leave at 5 on fridays so I'm hoping to get out at that time... you never know what's going to come up, but so far so good.
