My 4/23/2011 Wedding Timber Point CC

Sorry this has taken so long to post- but things have been a little hectic post wedding! I really appreciate all the information I have gathered from LI weddings- you girls are so helpful and really made the process less stressful.

Timber Point Country Club- A+

My husband and I wanted a more low key setting for our wedding, we are a little older (late 30's) so the glitz wasn't what we were going for - Timber Point really fit my taste- it's an old mansion set on a golf course with a water view which we loved. The weather for our wedding wasn't the best but we truly made the most of it. The food and service at Timber Point were fantastic, our maitre D Tio was was the best and I loved my bridal attendant Paola.

Dress- David's Bridals-B+

I knew this was one area where I could save some money- I found a beautiful dress for around $600. While I don't think David's provides a wonderful atmosphere, the staff was helpful and friendly.

Alterations- Tanya's Fine Tailoring A+

I knew there was no way I was going to use DB for my alterations , I found Tanya thru this website and she was great. Her prices are very reasonable and I would use her again without hesitation.

Cake- Black Forest Bakery A
Our cake was included with the price of our hall and we met with Christina and she was a doll to work with- we really didn't upgrade the cake much - we added ribbon to the cake and she didn't even charge us for it. We got choc fudge and canoli fillings and everyone loved it!
Flowers- B u r t o n s A

Flowers were sort of important to me and for the price we paid the flowers were fantastic- my bok was huge and better than I expected. Delivery was perfect no complaints at all!

DJ- In the Mood A+

My FIL knows the owner and they truly did a great job- we used Mike and Harry and they really got the crowd going. We also got the 2 screens and zap shots- I am still waiting for my zap shots but it really added something to the wedding, everyone loved the montage they made of us.

Photographer/ Video- Jeffrey Studio A+
Dh and I met with 4 different photographers and we just really liked Alan's personality, he really was relaxed and laid back which is what I need. I knew more than anything the photographer would be with me all day so I had to actually like them. Alan was great with our engagement session as well as at our wedding, he has a great sense of humor and took great pictures, everyone who has seen our proofs loves them. I also was very impressed with how quickly I got my thank you cards - they were done the week after my honeymoon! I would recommend Alan to anyone.

Hair- Dana from Mascolo A+
I have used Dana for years - she is the BEST, I could not imagine using someone else- I didn't even tell her what to do she just knows what works!

Make UP- Kelly Glam Me Up A+
Again I found Kelly through this web site and was thrilled with her work, she airbrushed me and my make up stayed all day and looked perfect.

Veil/Hair Comb- Barrons A
I loved my veil the work was incredible and pretty quick, my comb was also just what I wanted. Very easy to work with - would suggest to anyone.

Honeymoon- Sandals Regency St Lucia A
We booked through Liberty and they were easy to deal with, no frills but totally worked for me.
Sandals is beautiful, our weather was rainy which is rare for April but we had a fantastic time!! The elevator was broken for a day and a half which was a little annoying and I thought there could have been some more organization at the resort some of the staff was a little 'off' to me. All in all we had a very relaxing time and would go back!

Our day flew by and I am glad I took some time to take in some of the details, everything really was perfect, and in the end I got the most wonderful husband so all the stress was worth it!
