Bridal Shower:
Milleridge Inn: A++++
Used to go here a lot with my family when I was younger, and hadn’t been there in the longest time! Y shower was amazing, had a great time, and the food was sooo good!





Bach party:
Wine tour with Elegant Wine Tours of L.I.: A+
Had an amazing time! The limo was fantastic as was the limo driver. We went to 3-4 wineries and they supplied lunch as well. The day was beautiful loved loved, NoFo winery..they had a DJ and it was sooo much fun!




Ering & wedbands
R&R Jewelrs: A+++++++
DH and I looked for soooo long for the right stone and setting! I cant even tell you how many places we went to and nothing was what I wanted. Then we went to R&R. We were a little hesitant because it was in the diamond district but when we saw the diamond we knew that it was the one. And the setting was exactly what I wanted as well. It took a lot of negotiating but we finally ended up with the perfect rings! My DH also went to them for his custom made wedding band. It is actually a copy of a designer ring except that the designer didn’t make it in anything other than titanium. R&R even loved the way it turned out and think they are now selling it at their store!


Invites
Magnetstreet: A++
I was really set on having my colors in the invitation and I loved the way that you could customize the invitations to whatever colors you want! The quality was really good and they came out great!



hair comb and day of jewlery
Wedding factory Direct: A++++
I got so many things from wedding factory direct. I got my jewelry and haircomb as well as the bridesmaids and flower girls jewelry from there. The quality of the items was really good especially at the prices they have. But you do have to make sure that whatever you order you order one piece first to see the quality for yourself. I did order my MOH a necklace that was really bad quality. But besides that everything else was great!






Mygown, BM dresses & alt er ations:
Bridal Elegance: A+++++
Phylis was amazing. The prices they have are so good and the alterations that she did were perfect! She is definitely a perfectionist. The service is also great and they were there anytime I had questions and were extremely helpful! Especially given the short amount of time (<5mths) to get all the dresses ordered and in in time for the wedding!





DH’s Tux:
Mens Mart:A+++
My DH ended up buying a tux since he couldn’t find one with the proper fit for him. He ended up getting his tux in a small shop in the Rockaway Mall for less then what it would have cost had he rented it! And they custom tailored almost the entire thing! The alterations they did were flawless and now DH has a tux to use for any future formal events we go to!


Groomsmen & ringbearer tux:
Jos A. Banks: A
They were great. We ended up going to a branch of the store in NJ because the one that we dealt with in the city were super incompetent (my DH had gone in and ordered everything when he called to confirm they had lost all the information!). The NJ branch were great and we had no problems with any of the tuxs, which we were worried about since all of the groomsmen were from out of town.


Flowergirldresses
Bloomingdales: A
Ordered these dresses online. I was really looking for a tutu style dress, and fell in love with this one when I saw it. I would have preferred something shorter but still think that the girls looked adorable!



Limo:
Transstar limo: A/C
We got 2 limos, a 10 person and a 18-20 stretch Hummer. The Hummer which took me and BM to the ceremony was great and the driver was as well, they were ontime and we had no problems with them. They even made a bathroom stop for one of my pregnant bridesmaids! However, my DH took the 10 person limo to the ceremony and told me that they had 0 air conditioning and the driver wasn’t super helpful about it. However they did end up getting the air working in time to take the parents to the reception hall after the ceremony.


GMgift:
Potterybarn: A
We decided to get the GMs something they could use and chose a valet. They were beautiful.

I bought the girls their DOJ (from wedding factory direct) and a pashmina (from amazon).

My best friends cousin works here and she did my hair. I was pretty happy with the way it turned out, but I did have to do a lot of adjusting after I left.

Love love love her! She did my makeup for both my indian wedding and my regular wedding! SHe does such amazing work!

SewardPark Tech: A++++++
I was a little nervous at first going with them since I hadn't heard much about them. Boy was i wrong. Kieffer was who i dealt with and also did the lighting.It came out amazing! The DJ was great and played everysong that I gave him. Everyone was up and dancing all night!!

Ok, so I dont know if any of you girls saw my post about the horror that I had with my pictures. When I got them back they were terrible, or at least most of them. The ones that I posted here are from the first set that I got, so all of them weren't horrendous,so that is why im giving the photographer a C. The way that it works is that you pic the photog you want to use after they show u different portfolios. In hindsight I would have went with the most used photographer, but hindsight is 20/20.
Now for georgestreet themselves. They are great and have been so amazing trying to make things right with me. They re-edited all the photos and they came out beautifully! Im amazed at how much editing makes a difference. They are even going to send me the digital copies of the re-edited ones as well as all the raw footage from the video so they can print out digital stills for any shots that the photog missed. I cant thank them enough for making me feel at ease with choosing them and making everything right! I still havent gotten to see my video but will post it when i do!


Bouquets & boutineers
Sams club: A+++
ok so flowers were no important to me at all, and I couldnt justify spending 300 just for my bouquet. So i found this great package at sams club. the flowers were the exact color I wanted and they were beautiful! I was pleaseantly surprised at how gorgeous they were! When i got them they were not bloomed but I knew they wouldnt be so ordered them 2 days before the wedding. I would have done 3 in hindsight but they were still beautiful! So to all the girls out there who dont want to spend a lot, check them out!!



CeremonyVenue and Picture location
Nassau County Museum of Art:A+++++
This place is beautiful! Im just so glad that the weather turned out well otherwise I would not have been able to enjoy the beautiful gardens!


CeremonyMusic:
Art Strings:A+++++
We had a cello and violin playing for the ceremony. It was perfect to compliment the garden atmosphere. They were great and we received so many compliments. In addition to playing beautiful music they were just plain amazing. My ceremony started a half an hour late because more then half the guests chose to arrive a half hour after the start time. So they were there way past the 1hr that I booked them for, and they didnt even ask us for the extra pay! I wish i had had time to notice or recognize this on the day of and I would have tipped them more! But all I can do now is just tell you ladies how great they are and how i highly recommend them!

WeddingReception
Westbury Manor: A+++++++++++++++++
One word: Phenomenal. They were just great and they are truly professionals at what they do without making you feel like you are in a wedding factory! My maitre d Messiah and my bridal attendant leslie were so amazing and everything went flawlessly. One of my biggest concerns was my centerpieces and how they would be set up since i did them myself, but they set everything up for me perfectly. The entire time i had nothing to worry about and they had it all under control. I truly felt like a queen! I cant express how happy I am that I chose WM. WIsh i could do it all over again!!


DIY items
I did all of my centerpieces, table numbers, favors and memorial candle. (I also did my welcome bags with information pamphlet but I dont have pics of those)



Hotel Blocks:

Hampton inn Jericho:A+
Hampton in was great and super accomodating. They provided a shuttle for my guests to and from WM and even did 2 pick ups and didnt charge me extra!

Honeymoon
Thailnd & Bali:A+++++++++++++
DH and I had the most amazing time ever! We spennt 9 days in Thailand and traveled to 4 different cities, went rock climbing, kayaking, elephant trekking and took some cooking classes then spent 5 days relaxing in Bali. Both places were so beautiful and it was such a great experience

CJ my only advice is if you decide to do the submerged centerpieces and use fake flowers, test the flowers before buying a bunch of them, some flowers dont hold well under water for extended periods of time.

Hey Lucieandchris, yes i had a lot of difficulty with the finished product i got from the photographers. I was lucky enough that GeorgeStreet has been wonderful in working with me to correct them. They reedited all of my photos and are even getting digital stills from the raw video footage of shots that were missed. Not sure what difficulty you are having but hopefully your photographers can work with you. Also it may also be possible to hire an outside person to do any additional editing that may be needed. Its amazing what some editing can do! they can totally change the pictures!
