My AWESOME 5/18/14 Wedding Review (long)! A Modern Day Affair, Jamesport Meeting House, Estate at East Wind, Tommys Tunes, ADA Studio, With All My Heart Florist, Rolling Pin Bakery

So I can't believe my wedding is over! It was an absolutely perfect day in the end and I wouldn't change a thing! We had to change our wedding date quite a few times, 4 to be exact, and I have to say every single vendor was nothing but amazing with the changes and was able to accommodate everything from our original contracts and keeping our prices the same

A Modern Day Affair:
From the day I requested information from AMDA I worked with Shauna. Every time I emailed or contacted her she got back to me right away. I did the half-day package, which was a final meeting with her, one final vendor meeting, and 6 hours the day of the event. I had her come to my final with my maitre'd so that she knew all the details going into the reception. On the day of, she was worth every penny! We had a late start due to the wonderful traffic on the east end, which held up both the photographer and the officiant as well as guests. I was sitting in the car with my mom and her and my dad handled everything, I had no idea what was going on until after it happened. She then got me back to East Wind, helped me through pictures and half of cocktail hour. It was the perfect amount of time and she did a great job in keeping me relaxed with the ceremony running a little late!

Village Bridal:
My experience with Village Bridal was perfect from the moment I called to see if they had the dress that I wanted to try on. Of course they didn't but they were the only store that offered to get me a sample. I fell in love with it and ordered it. Alterations were wonderful, I worked with Tracy and she was a miracle worker. She had to let the dress out a bit right at the top and I was so worried because the top had a lot of beading and detail, but you couldn't even tell she let it out at all. Everything with them was absolutely perfect, I cannot recommend them enough!

Rico's Clothing:
I've worked with Rico's before getting suits for my father and knew that I was getting the tuxes for my wedding there. We picked out what we wanted quickly. The guys who were here on LI went and got measured and they had me call in the measurements for those who were out of state. When they were picked up they did minor alterations right there, so everyones fit perfectly. They were very professional to deal with and I'd go back in a heartbeat.

Jamesport Meeting House:
My husband and I didn't want to get married in a church but didn't want the ceremony at East Wind either, as we didn't want to see each other prior and wanted to enjoy cocktail hour. The Meeting House was the perfect compromise, it is a traditional church setting but is non denominational so you bring in your own officiant. The setting is beautiful and my contact Richard was excellent to keep in touch with throughout the planning.

Estate at East Wind:
Everything at East Wind was absolutely PERFECT! I did my pictures at the Inn then went over to the Estate. We did some cocktail hour stations outside, being that it was an absolutely perfect day. Guests raved about all of the food, and what we tasted was absolutely out of this world, which still amazes me as we had a ton of all different types of food. Our bridal attendant, Mary Lou, was absolutely amazing the entire time. She made sure that my husband and I were eating and drinking plenty of water, along with whatever we were drinking. The reception was absolutely flawless! The food there was just as good as the cocktail hour, and the service was impeccable! Everyone who was there absolutely raved about the food, service and venue. Scott was my Maitre'd and he went above and beyond! Every detail I told him was executed perfectly, I can't say enough good things about him! He's an absolute rockstar!

Tommys Tunes:
I got my ceremony music through Tommys. I wanted to walk down the aisle to Marry Me by Train, and he had a guitarist who did an amazing cover. MC Frank and DJ Dan did a great job at the reception. I had a few country songs that I wanted played so that some friends and I could line dance and I gave them a huge list, every one of my must play songs were played and we had a blast! They did an amazing job in keeping my guests on the dance floor and played a great mix of music. I can't say enough good things about them, they did a perfect job! We also got a photobooth through them, which came with its own attendant. He was very nice and guests had so much fun in it. Instead of doing picture frames we bought a scrapbook and he had each of the guests glue a copy of their photostrip into the book and write a little message for us. It's so much fun to look back at and see how much fun everyone was having. Like I said, I can't say enough good things about Tommys Tunes, they really blew me away!

ADA Studios:
I've known the owner of ADA since I was in first grade, as I had one of his sons in my class. I knew as soon as we booked the wedding that he was who I was going to have as my photographer. Tony Sande was amazing on my wedding day! He got to me a little early and we got all of my pictures with my bridesmaids and my parents done before leaving for the ceremony. We then did family photos at the church after the ceremony and got those done quickly and we were back at East Wind by 5pm, which was exactly on schedule. We got our full bridal party pictures done quickly as well, in about 45 minutes, then were free to go to the Estate. I loved how he moved things along so we could enjoy cocktail hour, as that was very important to us. Tony was such a pleasure to work with, he was very professional the entire day and took some amazing shots from what I have seen so far. Even at the reception he was there the whole time but wasn't in our faces, which was important to us as well. He was absolutely perfect!

With All My Heart Florist:
Lenea is absolutely amazing! I did my invitations, flowers, centerpieces, linens, table menus and place cards with her. With invitations she was so patient in picking them out and helped us decide on the details we were stuck on. The invitations came in quickly and were exactly what we wanted! Our bouquets were beautiful. We did roses and calla lillies for the bridesmaids in shades of yellow and they were beautiful! My bouquet was ivory callas and roses, and I had given her brooches to put in as well. All of the bouquets were the perfect size and the perfect combination of flowers, we absolutely loved them! The centerpieces were exactly what I had in mind, even a little bit more! We went with the manzanita trees with drop crystals and candles and yellow orchids on the trees. They were perfect in the room and gave a nice candlelit glow everywhere. For the linens we did the embroidered organza overlays, which were just the right amount of navy in the room. I can't say enough good things about Lenea, she took my vision and made it a reality.

Rolling Pin Bakery:
I wasn't too picky on the details of the cake, but it looked perfect. We had ivory icing with blue piping. I had sent them a monogram from our invitation which I wanted on the cake as well, which the matched perfectly! We had marble cake with chocolate fudge and raspberry preserve filling. The filling was delicious! The cake by itself was a bit dry, but when you put filling with it it was perfect.

All in all, our wedding was everything that we wanted it to be. I couldn't have imagined it going any differently. Once I get pictures I'll update!

I only have a few pictures so far, as I'm still waiting for the ones from the photographer. I keep trying to upload what I have but it doesn't seem to want to work for me at the moment. I'll keep trying.
