I feel, like any bride, my wedding was the best event ever. We planned it within a year. It took a lot of compromising on my part between my DH and our parents. Everything worked out perfect. There were minor (really minor) things that happened. Overall everyone was beyond pleased and so happy to take part in our event. Grade A+++++

Engagement and Wedding Rings Kay Jewelers of Bay Shore - My DH said that the staff was very pleasant. He felt there should be more of a variety in the store. Grade B+

Bridal Shower Location Diwan of Port Washington- I'm a little bias because my uncle owns the restaurant. The location was amazing overlooking the north shore sound. I was nervous because it is an Indian Restaurant but everyone loved it. The upstairs was spacious for a private party. Great space for our games. Grade A+++

Bridal Shower Photographer Jessica Raphael - she is a freelance photographer who did an excellent job. She was a part of the party but knew when to take amazing pics. She was able to send the pics to me within 2 days. Grade A+++

Save The Dates WeddingPaperDiva.com I wanted something with our picture, maybe even a postcard. But my DH refuses. We compromised with a simple card. I loved the paper. I was a pearl color. We received so many compliments about how lovely our save the dates were. Grade A+++

Invitation elegantbridalinvitations.com- the vendor was good. They took longer than estimated to come. But there was great communication between the vendor and me. The price was great. One piece of advice, if you can afford for it to be assembled, do so. It worth the extra money. Grade A

Lark field East Northport, NY to be honest this place was the last places on my list. I wanted to book somewhere else but my mom insisted we go. From the first time we were there, my family was impressed by the staff. They spoke to us on a first name basis. They explained that they were going to do massive renovations in the next year and showed us the floor plans. My mom was sold. They helped us with the planning process and ease our minds with a lot of minor issues. My in laws were not a fan of the place and were disappointed at the tasting but we already put the deposit down. My MIL was nervous because of the renovations but everything came out beautiful. We went to the opening and my mom complained about the drinks. The day of the wedding everything was perfect. The staff was wonderful. The bridal attendants were great. We planned to do a first look but I ran late. They originally had everyone in one suite. The best man asked if the ladies can have their own suite. They moved everything before I arrived. I had no clue about this. The maitre d’ kept everything rolling smooth. My friends were even impressed that they allowed the guest to bring the cocktail hour food into the main dining. They also said the portion size was huge. My only issue is my contract said ice sculptures. I asked my mom and MIL and they said they didn't see them. But they were also too busy to notice. Also I’m not sure if everyone was greeted with champagne when they entered. I know there were some glasses in our room. Overall there was not one complaint about food or the service. Advice: When signing the contract ask your RH not to release your phone number to other vendors. That’s was extremely annoying. Grade A++++

Wedding Cake Blackforest Bakery- It was recommended by my RH. The cake was more than what we imagined. They had book and books to choose designs from. The tasting was ok. I thought it would be a better variety. I ordered a birthday cake for my sister and it came out great. Love love love the cake. It is now our family bakery. A little pricey but worth it. Grade A

Officiant Reverend Rudy Tufaro - extremely professional. From our first meeting he was very personable and down to earth. I heard nothing but compliments about the ceremony. Highly Recommend!!! Grade A+++++

Favors Wrap with us.com – Picking favors for me was a hard task. How do you find a gift that everyone would like? I finally settled on spoon rests. The price was right. Convenient to pick up since they are located in Syosett. Even though the store is open Friday and Saturday, you can pick up online orders any day of the week. I also like the fact I could see the item before I purchased. Things online can be deceiving. Grade: A++

The Knot.com –I ordered napkins they came out great. I got them during a sale in March. It too three months to come since they were backed up from the sale ordered. I called customer service they were extremely helpful. My advice order when the sale is around but far away from your wedding date. Grade B+

Photo booth Picsfly.com this was a surprise gift from my mom. I was totally against it. My sister and cousin had so much fun with one at a bridal show that my sister begged my mom to get one. I think they used a groupon deal. Needless to say it was a hit. Guests whom I never thought would be into it, had a blast. Everyone loved it. There was a line at times. Some used props some didn't. Someone complained there wasn’t a variety of props. The staff was wonderful. They were extremely friendly. I can't stop laughing at the pics. We were told the pics would be available the Monday after the wedding but it took a few weeks for all the pics to be posted. Also I thought I would get a copy of all the pics but I think some guest took both copies. Grade A

Card box. Epicure Events & Design I feel the owner is my fairy god mother. I wanted a card box so bad but didn't want to spend a lot on one. Just when I was going to give up hope on having one, I got an email about a special. Free cake box rental with a purchase of a cake topper. The cake box was gorgeous. Just what I want. The owner is such a doll. I felt we were friends forever. Grade: A++++

Flowers- ************* A year before my wedding they called asking to book with me. Even though I went just to get an estimation of what it would cost. I felt bullied with the price. I gave an estimate of how many tables but back in November I had no defined number. At the end I had to add centerpieces. They were a little annoyed because they didn’t have enough stands for each table. At consultation, they were rude about us showing up late to the preview but made us wait claiming it was because we were late. Any changes to the contract they wanted cash ASAP. Would not recommend them. Grade Product - A Customer Service – C

DJ - DJ Hannah John She's our family DJ. She does my family's fundraisers. She kept the crowd going. She was there from the ceremony to the last dance. She is based out of Brooklyn but gave us a great price for coming to LI. Grade A+

Limo. Gold star - we waited to the last minute to book. We were able to get a decent price. The limo wasn't the best. You could tell there was body work done on the car but I guess that's what I get for booking the week of the event. The drivers were patient. The one on the way home gave us great marriage advice. Grade A-

Photography 456 weddings (based on everything but final product) we wanted everything but didn't want to pay a lot. We received great quotes. At the last minute my sister recommended a childhood friend. We thought they were very professional and within our budget. We booked with them right away. The communication was great with them. The day of they were prompt and ready to go. They help keep everything organized. We got our first look preview 48 hours after the event. Grade A

Videography 456 weddings waiting for final product

Wedding dress-David's Bridal Lake Grove, NY Very patient the only thing is my dress came in and they didn't call me. I just so happen to visit the store when they said 'Oh your dress came in.' The alteration dept was great. Grade A

Bridesmaids dresses David's Bridal- The girls were amazed that the dresses came in two weeks. No specific location since I had BM from different states. Some even ordered their dress online. Grade A+

Men's Tuxes- Men's Warehouse I choose MW since there are so many on Long Island / NY. A few of the guys including my DH had missing parts to their suits. My FIL who lives in Yonkers had to drive back to Yonkers the day of the wedding to get a new vest since they ordered the wrong one for him. This made everyone nervous if we would have to wait for him but he made it before me. Grade – C

Bridesmaid's gifts.
The knot.com – I ordered the personalized the waffle makeup bags. They were not what I expected. But I spoke to a bm who loved it. To me they looked a little cheap but it goes to show to some people it doesn’t matter. Grade B+

Personalized hangers. http://www.etsy.com/shop/WishUponStarfish I loved the hangers the only thing is I order them in July and I got them the week before my wedding. The vendor as great in communicating with me. Grade B+

Bridesmaid jewelry Kohls - very pretty but one of the earrings broke. Grade B+

Overall I would high recommend giving gifts. My BMs did not expect anything from me and was so surprised that I took the time do to something special for them. Since they all live if different states I couldn’t do a BM’s lunch but that made up for it.

Hair Reaction Salon Baldwin, NY The week before my wedding my cousin backed out. I had no idea what to do. I go to Reaction for a wash and set when I can. So the morning of my wedding I woke up at 5:30am to be the first client. They did an amazing job with my hair! All I did was show them a picture on my ipad. I can't believe I was able to get a sewn in weave the day of the wedding. They worked fast.... I am forever grateful to them. It took 2 and a half hours. I would never recommend this. The stylist said I should of done this the day before. Grade A+++++++

Make-up Artist Mek'Yaj We weren't an easy bridal bunch but Nora was fabulous. She came early, her makeup selection was awesome because I got to use products I've wanted too but we're sold out or just too expensive! I wanted glam makeup while some of the other women from the bridal party wanted a more natural look. She gave us each what we wanted the photos were amazing. What I loved about her makeup is that we didn't appear overdone face to face but the photos were stunning. Oftentimes makeup artists do photo finishes which look horrible up close and personal. I loved my make up but I thought my MIL had that best make up job. Grade – A++

LI Weddings.com I don't know what my wedding would be without you. The 2013 brides kept my sanity. We laugh and cried together. The bridal shower this year was beautiful. It was the first time I didn't feel guilty talking about wedding planning. The bridal show was great. I even won an iPad at the show..... To the future brides, they really value us and show how important we are to them. What we write makes a difference in small business on Long Island. Thank you so much. A++++++++++++++++

great to hear larkfield was so good to you- i think we did get our sculpture but we didnt see it, pretty sure it was in the bigger cocktail room which we barely got into. our hospitality had more drinks & food than expected (thats what our guests said)

@lauren1802 I was really surprised with the cake. I really wanted to go to the CH. But they said I would be bonbarded by guest. But I wouldn't mind. My DH wanted us to be alone but the whole time we stuffed our faces before our BP came in. I will have to check out the pics and video to see how the CH came out.
