The system is down today, the beauty of software never ends! With the system being down we cannot view the tape or accomplish anything we want to since it is all digital- I will call you wednesday evening to let you know when this week we can reschedule. Really ShellMarie, I hope you are filing an action in court against this guy. You can file yourself in small claims, just get it on this guys record, he could show up again.

We want him to do time! We have about 30 of us that we know about who have been scammed. Roughly 8 are out deposits (Kathy has the master list; it is hard to keep track) and far too many of us are out tapes.

We will probably do a lawsuit (we are also filing small claims) but he has no money-it's all been 'blown.' Of course, he has to be found by the cops and brought back so we can serve him. We have a lawyer in our group who is willing to act on the lawsuit when the time is right.
He is very slick. He got out of this unscathed three years ago. I'm hoping he has no tricks left!

We also heard the 'computer fried' line. We also heard the 'fuse blew' as he was downloading our footage to tape and a few others but I'm starting to forget because there were so many (such as the grandmother dying, the sister dying, and a bride's father dying).
My favorite is still the swallowing glass bit. I'm glad I can find some amusement in this.

In your case, the bit about the digital is also a lie. Marc shoots with a Super VHS. He doesn't have a digital camera! Do you remember his camera? It was huge. Digital cameras aren't that big. We also saw the tape he used when he showed us our raw footage--and it was S-VHS.

And I asked him when I booked him how he spelled his name because I have an unusual spelling for my name, which people rarely spell right. He told me he didn't care if I spelled his name with a 'c' or 'k' because he used both.
I thought that was weird at the time. I could just kick myself!
