HI all,

Last night when I went to Marc's house I left my phone number and name on his door for other bride/grooms to call if they were looking for their video too, and I got a call this morning from yet another victim of Marc who got married a month ago.

I gave her the information for this website and she should be posting soon.

Will this ever end?? :(

The only thing left is some nasty furniture and clothes and a box of videotapes.....all else is gone.

ALthough, his car is still there but it doesn't run and has no plates on it and it seems he abandoned that too.

And just when you think it couldn't get any worse!

Marc has done this treachery before. I received a note telling me that about 3 years ago Marc owned a company called Video Services and he took brides' money, filmed their weddings, and never gave them the footage!

I'm searching into this now and hopefully will get my hands on the stories so I can add them to my web site.

The really sad thing is another girl had posted about this, but we didn't believe her (it was her first post) and it also seemed too unbelievable. All I can say is that I'm sorry we didn't listen to her so we could have started investigating this sooner. We were all fooled by this very smooth, professional con artist.
She posted in late October or early November and this was after most of our weddings, so we would still be in the same boat, but if we had followed up we could have gotten to him sooner.

Why are the bad guys so good at being bad? It's hard to fight them when they have so much practice!

I wonder why this guy actually bothers filming the weddings after he gets the money. Maybe he's a pervert & watches the tapes and.....This is truly a sick & evil man.
Did anyone hear from the news stations??

OMG, I feel so bad... You are right, ShellMarie,I just read the post that KIT 4 posted on Marc back in October. We jumped on her and thought she was a vendor.... It was nice to warn us and she was telling us about a friend who was suing- had a date in court if I remember b/c he NEVER showed up at the wedding and didn't send replacement.

Ladies - I've been following this post and my heart breaks for you guys everytime I read it!! I'm so sorry!

As for Kit - we definitely owe her an apology. It was her first post - so we all jumped to the conclusion that she was a vendor in the business. It was also the first of many posts about Videomaker that most of us had ever seen.

The only website I logged onto as far as my wedding was concerned was TheKnot.com and I think that's where he got my info. Although I found out that bridal dress stores also sell the information along with tuxedo rental places......

I signed up on the Knot and Wedding Channel in February and went to at least two of the major Bridal Expos (one at the Hilton in Huntington) and the other in Islandia (the Marriott).

Since two other brides came from the link we posted on the Knot, that may be a good lead, especially when you consider how far apart we live and we may not have gone to the same Expos.

I think I received Marc's brochure sometime in late March/early April, because we didn't meet with video until we were done with music and photos. I'm going to dig out my files to find out exactly when.
I went back and checked my first post on LIWeddings and it was on May 25 about Videomaker and I had said I met with him a month earlier. It took us a month to decide to book him because I was searching for info on him and couldn't find anything. We met with him and booked him on June 1.

I found out about Videomaker from a post awhile back from Mark Kaufman the photographer. The post has been edited because I tried searching for it and I could not find it. I remember that it was a post about videographers under the vendors helping brides section and he had also mentioned Steve Taub in the same post because I called him as well. Mark Kaufman is the only vendor who mentions Steve Taub. I don't know if he knew him or that he knew about his work. This post goes back at least 5 0r 6 months ago, probably longer.
