Re: Alert! Videomaker is skipping town!
How many people have been screwed over by them? I'm feeling terrible for the people who can't get their wedding back to re-tape! That is worth so much money... priceless.... and this schmuck ruined it. Has anyone got on the other boards- weddingchannel and ultimate to see if there are others?

Re: Alert! Videomaker is skipping town!
I posted warnings on the Knot and Wedding Channel, but I'm not familiar with them and never posted on them before. No new brides have come forward. If someone with more posts on those sites could post a warning, I'd appreciate it. We all know how we are when someone who has one post comes on to bash a vendor.Latest update:
My husband did file the complaint with Consumer Affairs and they suggested we call the cops. We want to speak to the new homeowner first to see if he will let us in the apartment before we do.
Frank, the construction guy called us back at about 11:30. Another bride showed up looking for Marc and she gave him her number to give to us. My husband is talking to her fiance right now, so we are starting to build quite a group.
The new homeowner is supposed to go to the house this afternoon and we're hoping to talk to him (but with the snow, who knows).
I left work early due to the snow and it is bad out there. Nichols road is very slow going.
I'll post if we find out more today.

Re: Alert! Videomaker is skipping town!
I don't have a lot of posts on The Knot or wedding channel, but I'll do it for you anyway. SonicStef is pretty well known on those sits, maybe you can FM her to see if she'll do it too?

Re: Alert! Videomaker is skipping town!
Hi Everyone! I am new here...just read the post on Theknot.com. Sad to say that I too am a victim of the Videomaker. Luckily he is only trying to run off with my deposit, as my wedding isn't until 9/03. Needless to say I am ready to fight this guy. I am planning on going there with Fiance this Saturday. If anyone else is planning on doing the same, we should plan on a time to meet. I will also email the TV channels to try to get their support. Someone also suggested we file a police report. Let's keep each other informed.

I haven't heard back from FOX either. I have a number of posts on the Weddingchannel. Not as many as here, but I will post the warning anyway. Keep us updated!

Re: Alert! Videomaker is skipping town!
p&a91203,I'm glad the warning reached you.
We plan on going to the house early tomorrow. If the homeowner wins in court, all of Marc's stuff could be out on the street on Friday. I don't think we will ever see him at the house again. If we have no luck on Friday, we will pick a time to go over on Saturday, and maybe we will get the cops there, too.
The other bride who stopped by Marc's today called us (I thought my husband was talking to her fiance, but it was her).
When she was there, this other guy named Frank was in Marc's apartment. Apparently, he is the DJ Marc recommended to some of the other girls. She recognized him as she had used the DJ at her wedding. He wouldn't let her in the house. I bet he was there to feed the dog. He told her Marc was having problems but would not tell her where he was!
Here's the killer--he has three of her wedding videos! Her wedding, her brother's, and a friend's!
We are going to call her if we find out anything.
Is that beyond awful or what!
If I find out anything more from the homeowner today, I'll post again.
We do not have much time. If Marc does come back to get the rest of his stuff and the dog, it will be this weekend.
