Happy day after Christmas ladies. Anyone else feel a let down????
I had a really great holiday and was blessed to see all my family either on the 24th or 25th so I am not really upset. I am upset to have to go to work though!

Re: FOX HOLLOW BRIDES - Question & Answer Thread
i had my appointment today to go over the menu & final arrangements. little disappointed that they didn't throw anything in. I tried to get them to swap the waffle w/ice cream for the sundae bar. she said no thats additional... what do you have to do to get them to 'throw something in'???

from what i know, you have to not hit your minimum....but i don't even know what they'll throw in for that...

Thanks Jess.. I just didn't think it was a big deal. i think the sundae bar was $3.00 pp. oh well

Re: FOX HOLLOW BRIDES - Question & Answer Thread
i didnt hit my minimum so they took money off of the tropical bar for us... so it ended up being even..but as for throwing things in ... i think its when you are booking initially... we booked 4 months from the wedding date, so they threw a couple things in.. so it was a sure bet that we would book with them

They don't really throw anything in at the final meeting. That's usually something that they do to get you to book! Sorry.

Re: FOX HOLLOW BRIDES - Question & Answer Thread
Ok, so I have my final meeting with Jenn on Thursday, Jan 3rd. I was wondering if someone could tell me what exactly I need to bring to that meeting. I know Jess had mentioned typing out your vendors. What kind of information was she looking for? Also, does anyone have any questions they would like me to ask???

Bring a typed out list of your vendors name & phone number. She doesn't need anything more from you than that.
You can pick your linen colors & will pick your cake flavors and other stuff then. She'll also give you paperwork that you have to fill out...

I am very concerned about that. I will be talking to Jenn but I am considering going with someone else. I emailed Cakes by Jay and I will be checking out Audrey's, Sweet karma and Dortoni's this week for prices. Knowing something could be messed up stresses me out...I know I shouldn't worry about little things, but if it's avoidable, I might as well try!! Thanks for the advice!!

Re: FOX HOLLOW BRIDES - Question & Answer Thread
i did write to jenn about it (the cake thing) and i haven't heard back....i'm going to be rather specific about it - i have to drop off a grooms' cake the day before & i'll ask to see their notes on it....something like that.

Re: FOX HOLLOW BRIDES - Question & Answer Thread
Hi ladies,I'm going to Fox Hollow tomorrow to make our next pmt and ask questions. I already read the posts here about open flames/candles, so I'm bringing a pic of a possible candle CP idea for clarification. Also, I'm now a little apprehensive about the cake situation, since we're also getting ours from them as part of our contract. What was wrong with your cakes? How did they handle it when you told them it was wrong?
Anything else I should ask or be concerned about? TIA!

Re: FOX HOLLOW BRIDES - Question & Answer Thread
its a good idea to bring your CP with you... i did as well just to make sure!!
as far as the cake went.. they bring you in your reception room before the guests go in.. and they show you everything to make sure its right... well they brought me over to the cake and said ......
'well we didnt get the red roses like you wanted (threre were supposed to be red roses and there wasnt ANY!!) sooo then he said well i have white, i can put them on ... at this point i said just put it on because it looked so plain and gross. i had to have something added... my cake was also supposed to have red designs in it.. almost like polka dots to give it some color... well none of that was done either... and of course the cake topper was not on the cake.
now mind you...that was really the only other thing that went wrong.. so it wasnt too bad..
