Re: FOX HOLLOW BRIDES - Question & Answer Thread

okay for the record I just called the Inn about brunch:

yes you can have a private brunch there - the room rental is $275 and then the brunch packages start at $27 pp (DEFINITELY not doing that)

if you and your fiance/husband are staying there the night of the wedding then your guests (even if THEY didn't stay at the Inn) are welcome to attend the regular morning breakfast for $15pp. You have to tell the Inn how many people you expect for breakfast but you don't have to tell them until like the night before (i.e. after the wedding before you go to your room) they just need to know so the cook makes sure to have enough of food.

I just hope the Fox Hollows excellent reputation is based on something real, and that I didn't make a huge mistake booking there.

If you are that concerned, I would give them a call and go in and speak to someone there in person about it.
Waiting around, hoping you didn't make a 'huge mistake' about the biggest choice you can make about your wedding is way to stressful and can ruin the rest of the planning process for you

I agree, if you are really worried go talk to them there. BUT, I do have to say that they were more than excellent for my wedding. When they say 'fox hollow handles everything' they really mean it. I did not have a DOC, and started my day at the Inn at fox Hollow. About 5 minutes after I got to the inn to start getting ready my banquet manager showed up, and like 3 minutes after that my bridal attendant showed up. I guess the front desk alerted them about my arrival...i didn't.

The bm and bridal attendant took care of everything and I nor hubby ever needed anything or to look for anyone.

As for Arthur... after I booked I really never talked to my sales person (i think it was ron). I always just called the main line and someone was able to answer me.

I think you made the right decision with choosing fox hollow, and I hope that it helps calm any worries. But definitely talk to them if you are still worried. If they don't help you, you still have time to change.

Re: FOX HOLLOW BRIDES - Question & Answer Thread

Does anyone who had or will have their ceremony in the petite garden room know if there is enough space for a string trio? I would really like live music for my ceremony but am worried that the room may be too small to accomodate them. I will have roughly about 135 guests

Re: FOX HOLLOW BRIDES - Question & Answer Thread

Thank you, that helped a lot. I guess I'm just thinking that the sales people have more to do with settings things up than they really do.

The behind the scenes people seem to have it much more together.

Will they bill your room or will they charge your guest after the meal?

i think they bill your room or you can have it put on someone's credit card - they don't bill each person though

I have a question about the Inn at Fox Hollow - I know they offer a Sunday Brunch but is that open only to the guests of the hotel? I have my rooms blocked at the Executive (because the rooms were MUCH cheaper) but now some of my guests want to go to brunch the next morning. I know the Fox Hollow has one but can anyone go as long as they pay for it?

I have nooo clue- have you tried calling them yet and asking? I know they do a free bfast at the inn for guests, but I dont know about brunch...

Charm City Cakes (the actual business they run on 'Ace of Cakes') is actually in Baltimore, MD.

Re: FOX HOLLOW BRIDES - Question & Answer Thread

My 2 cents on cakes:

Ever since I had to cancel my Disney wedding (and even before that) I desperately wanted a Mad Hatter wedding cake. So after many, many, many phone calls to just about every bakery on the planet and the cake being outrageously priced I'm now looking into Cakes by Jay (since we get a discount, I had thought he'd be too expensive at first but even if he's the same price at least i can get a little $ taken off) and also, Jenn gave me the number to the bakery they use to make the Fox Hollow's regular cakes (but I am slightly worried about them) soooo we'll see how that goes....if it goes bad...I'm back to square one for the cake.....grrrr.

Here's a picture of the cake i want, EXCEPT with NO flowers and in Green, Purple, Black and white.....

I want it SOOOOOOOOOOOO bad so cross your fingers for me ladies!!!

Re: FOX HOLLOW BRIDES - Question & Answer Thread

Here's Jenn's reply to the cake email I sent:

About the cake, I know some cakes have been decorated wrong, and we are working with our baker to remedy the situation, but don't worry.

I do feel better!
