stupid question...
can you tell me what gets added to the Per Person price?
my contract only seems to state that
'NYS tax will be added'

it says nothing about a service charge or anything... is that weird?

I work for an RH not Fox Hollow. I always give the client the photo copy version and I keep the orginal. As long as it does not state it anywhere in the contract you may not have to pay it.

that's ODD - i have a yellow copy of my contract - it was part of the carbon part of the contract...

I just found the yellow carbon copy too. neither of them say anything about a service charge

mine has a 20% service charge too. but david explained it as 20% gratuity.

right... but it's on your contract right? is it hand written?

the 20% pays the wait staff so that we don't tip them the night of the wedding... but it's not on our contract so i'm not sure we have to pay it.

*we would still take care of the wait staff. i have no intrest in screwing them out of their paycheck*

then you still should tip the maitre'd and the bridal attendant on top of that..

we also tipped the bartenders from the start.

It may be their mistake and its not your fault if they didn't bring it up or write it down!! I know you will prolly still drop money for the waiters and stuff, but they can't force money out of you in addition to your contract.

actually that was not on mine either.. but we knew we had to pay it.. and of course when you call with your final headcount .. they break down all the prices.. and sure enough it was on there..

well.. I AM worried, b/c it's NOT on my contract. and the verbal promises they made to ME they are not honoring, so i don't think i should be charged anything if it's not on my contract.
They told me I should have gotten everything in writing...
well guess what... SO SHOULD THEY!

the first time i heard someone mention a service charge on the boards I got confused b/c it wasn't on my contract. so, it's not like i KNEW i had to pay it... they don't like that these boards exist b/c of the info we get, so they can't say i knew anything based on here either...
does that make sense?
