Re: Greek Brides??
Hi everyone! I went to Gail for invites on Saturday. She was sooooo nice and helpful! And good prices too.Anyway, after looking through more than ten books, and two and a half hours later... I ended up picking the one I originally liked (three months ago, I had ordered some samples from a catalogue, and I liked this one from back then- but I never thought I would end up with it in the long run).

Re: Greek Brides??
Thanks! We also booked our honeymoon!!!!!!! Originally we were going to do Italy or Spain, but the weather is going to be too cold for swimming in late April- and we dont want to wait until the summer to honeymoon... so we ended up booking Aruba!!!!! I am so excited!! Our room is awesome!
I think I am going to do the candle placecards also... I found a girl who is selling 144 of them for $65... is this a good price? Or will I get them cheaper at Michael's or somewhere else?

Re: Greek Brides??
The 65 dollars is for the votives candle holders only, not for everything.

Re: Greek Brides??
Girls...I am sooo upset! I finally got in contact with Jennifer from Fairytales Makeup and she can't do my makeup for my wedding day! I also tried JN but she is booked. I don't know who else to try. I am really upset now.
I am mostly upset because I waitied for months to hear from her. I should have just gone with someone else to begin with.
Sorry girls, I am just venting out!

Re: Greek Brides??
Dont worry about it, you'll find somebody to do your make-up... I think most of the ladies at the make-up counters at Macys and bloomies do wedding make-up. You still have plenty of time to find somebody.I havent booked hair or make-up yet either. I am planning to go to my guy who usually cuts my hair. Not sure what I am going to do make-up though. I think he might do make-up too because I remember he had an internship at Juliard doing making for their performances. If you're interested, I'll let you know when I soeak with him.

Re: Greek Brides??
UGH, I'm so sorry Angela
Have you tried Denise Venti? or Jillian from Gorgeous Faces?Debbie: Thanks for the info.
I bought the votives at Michaels on sale 3 for $1.00. I The votive candles were $2.00 per 25 (I didn't buy the regular white votives, I bought blue ones that will match my BMs dresses and smell nice.). The regular votives were 100 for $5.00. The vellum I got from ebay. The seller was Not-Just-Vellum and I paid I think $27 for 200 pieces of vellum (for my placecards and programs--this price includes shipping and insurance).

Re: Greek Brides??
Thanks for the info Marcela. I'll wait til they go on sale at Michaels.Angela, I forgot who the DJ's were at my Godson's Christening. It may have been Bravo... When we went to book them, they were located on Newtown Avenue (or maybe it's Astoria Blvd) right across the street from Astoria Manor. Is that Bravo? If not, I'll ask my koubara for their contact info.
Also, I think Tommy (Tommy Tunes) who DJ's at that place diagonal from Byzantio in Astoria (I cant remember the name of the bar- I think they have Vareladiko there on Saturdays) is really good. But I am not sure if he still does private parties. He used to work at Plato's and DNA. Our parents are friends... so I can found out if you'd like.
