Crazy that the media won't leave the poor girl alone,four days after announcing the split from her hubby. I think she looks great for someone going through what she is. I don't think I would even get out of bed. It's a shame that this country is so celebrity crazed that these photos needed to be taken to feed the frenzy. I think it is very sad. Let her mourn the loss of her love in peace.

Crazy that the media won't leave the poor girl alone,four days after announcing the split from her hubby. I think she looks great for someone going through what she is. Parted friends to face off on a new 'Simple Life'

E! Entertainment Television has picked up the show, which was canceled by Fox last month, with plans to run 10 new episodes starting in spring 2006. (Related story: Fox cancels The Simple Life)

In a change of format for The Simple Life: Till Death Do Us Part, Nicole Richie and Paris Hilton will take turns as a housewife in charge of cooking, cleaning and children in diverse homes around L.A. The host families will decide which celebutante is a keeper. Taping starts in January.

Fox canceled the show after the stars stopped speaking to each other.

The cause of the feud is still a mystery. E! Networks CEO Ted Harbert says for the 'bulk' of the show, the stars will be shot separately. But he 'can't promise they will never be together. That remains to be seen.' Reps for the stars did not respond to requests for comment.

Laguna Gossip - I LOVE this show:

As of two weeks ago, Kristin and Alex H. were sharing an apartment, but Alex H. left to move into another posh L.A. building with Alex M. It's a building that happens to be one of Kristin's dad's developments. Show insiders tell me their relationship soured because Kristin insisted that everything be about her, expecting Alex to be on call. The last straw went down at a San Diego event for Dieter's charity, when Alex refused to drive Kristin back to L.A. early for an audition.


Meanwhile, Talan Torriero is working on a CD and a film, not to mention getting engaged to Kimberly Stewart (and calling it off), getting into car wrecks with Paris Hilton and partying with Ryan Cabrera (they're good friends).

Stephen is sharing a downtown L.A. apartment with Dieter and Jason. They aren't in school right now, but while Stephen has acting classes, and Dieter has his charity, I'm told Jason's concentrating on cleaning up his act, though it doesn't seem to be happening. Says a source who works with the Laguna Beach crew, 'Promoters are constantly calling them and sending them to different L.A. clubs every night of the week. Jason is always getting kicked out of clubs for getting into fights...He's wrecked a lot of cars, too. That's why you always see him driving different ones on the show.' Same goes for Stephen. Word has it that last week he crashed a brand-new car the very same day he bought it!


Lauren, meanwhile, has cut ties with every other castmember except Jason, whom she's still dating. According to insiders, she and Kristin did make up months ago, but they're back to being enemies, maybe, I'm told, because they both hooked up with Stephen again over the summer.

Lauren's spinoff is supposedly similar to MTV's PoweR Girls, except that it follows her and friend Heidi (who is hated by all of Lauren's other friends) around Los Angeles. The spinoff is being called The Hills--as in the Hollywood Hills--and MTV plans to show the exterior of some random Hollywood Hills home as if it's really hers. The truth? She's living in an apartment by L.A. shopping complex the Grove!

As for Laguna's next installment, one well-connected spy says, 'It isn't centered around a boy or a love triangle, like the last two seasons have been. It'll revolve around a couple of girls who can't stand another girl. One of the girls, who's in the 'we don't like you' group, is the chick Jason took to prom this year. Also, there are twins who actually moved to Laguna from Texas just to be on the show!'


Laguna Beach Blind: And now, the dirt so dirty, we can't name names...

Beach Boozers: According to one spy, these castmembers are 'supposed go to events [to promote themselves], but if they even show up in time for the red carpet, they're too wasted to pose for pictures.'

Beach Bum: This castmember has been in and out of rehab many times, which is also the reason he or she wasn't even around for the first season of the show.

Beach Baddie: This castmember got into a knock-down, drag-out fight with a castmember of the opposite sex, bashing his or her head against a wall.

(Hint: Beach Bum and Beach Baddie are the same person.)

Kimberly Stewart and MTV's Laguna Beach hunk Talan Torriero have called off their engagement.

The couple originally announced their plans to wed on Nov. 15, after only a couple of months of dating. But apparently they’ve both had a change of heart.

'It was just too soon to enter into a lifelong commitment,' the couple's reps said in a joint statement to PEOPLE. 'It is better to have a brief engagement than a short marriage. The couple continue to share their time together and remain open to whatever the future may hold.'

The first public hint that Torriero, 19, and Stewart, the 26-year-old daughter of British rocker Rod Stewart, might be an item came only weeks ago when the pair were spotted in the backseat of pal Paris Hilton's Bentley in L.A. So the couple's engagement came as a shock – to many people. 'It definitely took me by surprise,' Stewart’s mom, Alana Stewart told PEOPLE. 'She's an impulsive girl. What can I say?'

On Nov. 16 the pair picked out a 5-carat diamond ring from L.A. jeweler Neil Lane. That night, holding hands as they walked into the Xbox 360 launch party in Beverly Hills, they broke the news to friends, including Hilton and her sister Nicky.

A friend of Torriero's told PEOPLE at the time: 'He told me he really likes her and they're having a good time.'

Torriero, an aspiring musician and actor, just wrapped a role in the thriller Driftwood.

Stewart, who was for a time rumored to be a replacement for Nicole Richie as Hilton's partner on The Simple Life, was once engaged to musician Cisco Adler.

No, I am sorry as well, if yout thought that I was getting angry at you, I am angry but I am angry at the media. This is the biggest topic of discussion in my school right now ( I teach in a Middle School) and it is so sad to hear some of the students comments because they hear things on the news/mags and they don't even fully understand and restate it and YUCK so :) just my frustration
