Jennifer Garner and Ben Affleck are first-time parents, with the birth of their daughter Thursday night in Los Angeles, their reps confirm to PEOPLE.

Affleck's publicist, Ken Sunshine, and Garner's spokeswoman, Nicole King, said the child was born at 6:26 p.m. ET Thursday, after several news outlets erroneously reported Garner had already given birth nearly five hours earlier.

'Mother, father and baby are doing great,' the reps said in a statement. No further details were released.

Word about Garner's pregnancy first began spreading in May, nine months into her relationship with Affleck, 33. (The pair, who first met on the set of the 2003 movie Daredevil, began dating after Garner, also 33, split from her husband, actor Scott Foley, after 2 1/2 years of marriage.) Reps confirmed the pregnancy after the couple married June 29 in a small, low-key ceremony on the Turks and Caicos Islands.

Garner's pregnancy was written into this season's Alias storyline. And then, on Sept. 27's Tonight Show, Garner let slip to host Jay Leno that the baby was a 'she.'

'You can just start to feel really pregnant, like you are the hugest person on the face of the planet,' said the actress. 'I felt bigger and bigger, like she ... .' Garner then quickly covered her mouth with her hands, and the crowd cheered.

Up until that moment, Garner remained evasive about the baby. At the Sept. 18 Emmys, the nominated star admitted on the red carpet that she knew the gender of her child, but said she was keeping it secret.

Instead of hitting hotspots together, the couple have been most often seen grocery shopping, drinking Starbucks, or renting movies from Blockbuster.

As for their new roles as Mom and Dad, Affleck's friend, director Don Roos, said they'll be great parents. 'Ben's got the right woman and he's excited about this new chapter in his life. He's really excited about becoming a father and Jen seems ecstatic,' he told PEOPLE in July.

Roos added: 'I can't wait to see Ben change a diaper. He's so huge, and the thought of him standing over a 7-lb. baby … He'll be a great father. He's very patient. He's close to his mother, brother, father and family. What else do you need?'

On Tuesday (November 29), representatives for White's wife, model Karen Elson, confirmed that the couple were expecting their first child. The sex of the baby isn't known, but the little bluesman (or woman) is said to be due in the spring. Elson's spokesperson went on to add that the couple are 'ridiculously happy' about the news. Representatives for White had no comment on the matter, as they do not speak about their artist's personal life.

The child is the first for both White and Elson, and the announcement ends months of pregnancy rumors swirling around the couple.

White and Elson were married in June in Manaus, Brazil, in a ceremony as unconventional as it was unexpected. The two said their vows, according to a post on the White Stripes' Web site, 'on the confluence of three rivers — the Rio Negro, the Solimones and the Amazon ... by a traditional shaman priest on a canoe at the exact point where the three rivers met. ... Athina Onassis to Wed Brazilian Horseman

Set to wed in Brazil Saturday: Greek billionaire Athina Roussel Onassis, 20, granddaughter and sole heiress of the late shipping magnate (and onetime husband of Jacqueline Kennedy) Aristotle Onassis, and Brazilian equestrian star Alvaro Afonso de Miranda, the 32-year-old son of an insurance company owner.

Clearly, this will be no ordinary ceremony. The wedding will be held at the Maria Luiza and Oscar Americano Foundation, an 18.5-acre spread that includes a museum, a tea house and a cultural center, reports the Associated Press.

The wedding will be a 'family affair' attended by some 750 guests, according to the groom's father, Ricardo Miranda. At least 400 private security guards will be deployed to protect the guests – who must first pass through two metal detectors – and keep out paparazzi.

The bride, who was raised in Switzerland by her French-born father, Thierry Roussel, and inherited an estimated $2.7 billion from her grandfather on her 18th birthday, will wear a dress by Valentino, the elder Miranda said. It remains to be seen whether Roussel, who engaged in a bitter legal battle against the estate to stake a claim in the Onassis fortune, will attend his daughter's wedding.

Among other details that have leaked out: The marriage will be an ecumenical ceremony, because Onassis is Greek Orthodox and the groom is a divorced Roman Catholic. The couple – who share a love for horses and met in 2002 at a riding center in Belgium – reportedly signed a prenuptial agreement protecting all assets acquired before marriage.

Already they share a $7.2 million, 10,650-sq.-ft. apartment in Sao Paulo with Viviane, Miranda's 6-year-old daughter from his previous marriage.

In lieu of wedding presents, the couple reportedly has asked that guests donate money to the Aconchego Day Care Center for underprivileged children.

Lost Stars Busted for DUI

Lost stars Michelle Rodriguez and Cynthia Watros were arrested Wednesday night on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol, PEOPLE has learned.

Rodriguez, 27, who plays Ana Lucia, and Watros, 37, who plays Libby, were taken into custody on the island of Oahu in Hawaii, where the show is filming its second season.

'They were arrested just before midnight without incident, and both women were driving their own vehicles,' Capt. Frank Fujii of the Honolulu Police Department tells PEOPLE. No other details of the arrest were available.

The two posted bail early the next morning, according to a police source. Representatives for both actresses and the show had no comment.

This wouldn't be the first driving-related mishap for Rodriguez, who last year pleaded no contest to three misdemeanors (a hit and run, driving with a suspended license, and driving under the influence) stemming from two 2003 incidents in L.A. She was sentenced to 48 hours in jail, community service and treatment in a 30-day alcohol program.

Formal charges are expected to be filed against both Rodriguez and Watros on Dec. 29 at the Kaneohe District Court.

Britney Spears is said to have booted her wastrel husband, Kevin Federline, out of their Malibu mansion.

We hear the couple had a blazing row Wednesday night in which the pop princess banished the skeevy dancer to the Beverly Hills Hotel.


Word is Brit lost it when a pot-packing pal of Federline's showed up at their house.


'Britney turned around and fired two of her longtime security guards for letting what she called 'the weedman' into the house,' a source tells Star magazine. 'She just seemed crazy with anger.'


Spears is said to have become exasperated with her hubby's well-documented partying since the birth of their son, Sean Preston, 11 weeks ago. Federline, whose hobbies Spears finances, has brushed off her pleas that he see a therapist, according to insiders.


Following Federline's eviction, Spears and her girlfriends headed to DJ AM's new Hollywood club, LAX. The singer, who turns 24 today, didn't seem to be pining for Federline. Downing Grey Goose and Red Bull with 'Jackass' cohorts Steve-O and Johnny Knoxville, Spears set to dancing on the seat of her banquette.


Spears recently turned down the chance to replace Christina Applegate in the Broadway musical 'Sweet Charity' because, according to 'The Insider's' Marc Malkin, she didn't want to 'uproot her family.' That was when they were a family. With Federline in exile, maybe she'll reconsider.


A Spears rep had no comment.

COPS IN Scottsdale, Ariz., say they noticed an 'odor of alcohol' when they pulled over Vince Vaughn and his girlfriend, Jennifer Aniston, for a 'minor traffic violation' Tuesday. A police rep says officers performed a field sobriety test on Vaughn, who wasn't cited but was warned not to drive. The police tell TMZ.com Vince and Jen left the car, then sped away with friends.

WHEN Kimberly Stewart, 26, unveiled her 5-carat engagement ring from Talan Torriero, 19, a week ago, most people assumed Stewart had financed it herself — after all, Torriero has no job besides his stint on the 'Laguna Beach' reality show. Wrong! Torriero did indeed buy the $75,000 bauble. During a shoot for the Bongo clothing line this week in L.A., Torriero was overheard telling pals he used his dad's credit card. Now that the brief engagement is off, 'I should be able to get a full refund,' he said hopefully.

A legal petition seeking to change the names of the children to Zahara Jolie-Pitt and Maddox Jolie-Pitt was filed Friday in Los Angeles, publicist Cindy Guagenti said in a written statement to The Associated Press.

'We are confirming that Brad Pitt is in the process of becoming the adoptive father of both children,' the statement said. 'No further comment is being made.'

Rumors of an off-screen relationship between the stars of 'Mr. & Mrs. Smith' have been circulating for a year. Pitt accompanied Jolie to Ethiopia in July to pick up Zahara, now about 10 months old.

He and actress Jennifer Aniston announced their separation in January, and Aniston filed for divorce in March, citing irreconcilable differences. The divorce became final in October.

Pitt, 41, has denied Jolie, 30, was behind the split.

Jolie, twice-divorce, had often talked of adopting a second child. In 2002, she adopted Maddox in Cambodia, where she filmed 'Lara Croft: Tomb Raider.' The boy is now 4 years old.

As a goodwill ambassador for the U.N. High Commissioner for Refugees, Jolie, accompanied by Pitt, recently toured quake-devastated areas in Pakistan. She met with Pakistani President Gen. Pervez Musharraf and toured a town largely destroyed by the Oct. 8 earthquake that killed an estimated 86,000 people.

Brad Pitt to Adopt Angelina Jolie's Kids

Brad Pitt has started the process to adopt Angelina Jolie's two kids, the actor's publicist said in a statement to PEOPLE.

A legal petition to change the names of the children to Zahara Jolie-Pitt and Maddox Jolie-Pitt was filed in Los Angeles, according to publicist Cindy Guagenti.

'Brad Pitt is in the process of becoming the adoptive father of both children,' Guagenti said in the statement.

There are no plans for marriage at this time, she added.

Jolie, who is a single mom to Maddox, 4, and Zahara, 11 months, told PEOPLE at the first annual Worldwide Orphans Foundation benefit on Oct. 24 that she wants to adopt again.

'I'm planning on it,' Jolie said. 'Most of the night I just thought about how quickly I want to adopt again. It's a very special thing. There's something about making a choice, waking up and traveling somewhere and finding your family.'

A sensational article in a British newspaper claiming that Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie were married in a secret Buddhist ceremony - and illustrating the nuptials with a photo of the two stars' kissing - has been shot down by the actor's publicist as 'completely untrue,' reports People Magazine News of the alleged nuptials came just weeks after Brad finalised his divorce from 'Friends' beauty Jennifer Aniston.

A source close to the couple allegedly revealed to Britain's Star magazine:
'Brad and Angelina wanted to make a commitment to each other as soon as
possible, and arranged a private ceremony to seal their love to one another.
They exchanged vows in front of Angelina's children Zahara and Maddox.'
Reports also claimed, although the Buddhist ritual was not legally binding
in the US, the pair were classing each other as husband and wife and were
planning to legally marry in the States.
The source was quoted as saying: 'It isn't legally binding but in their eyes
they are married and that's it.'

'There's simply no truth to this whatsoever,' Cindy Guagenti tells Britain's BBC News in regard to Wednesday's story in the Daily Star. The rep goes on to tell the news service that the photo accompanying the article was, in fact, from the couple's recent movie, Mr. and Mrs. Smith.

Earlier this week, Pitt contacted police after spotting a paparazzi photographer peering into his Malibu home and trying to take photos of inside his living room, Guagenti said Tuesday.

The incident was reported to the Malibu/Lost Hills Sheriff's Department, authorities confirmed.

Russell Crowe is to become a father for the second time, according to reports.

The Hollywood heavyweight announced that his wife, Danielle Spencer, is pregnant at a dinner in Melbourne following the Australian Film Institute Awards last weekend. Rock singer Spencer is not yet showing any signs of a baby bump.

Last week she, Crowe and their first-born Charles - who turns two in two weeks - were seen spending a day in the park where Crowe kicked a ball around with his son, whom he affectionately calls 'Boonker'.

Marilyn Manson Marries Girlfriend in Ireland

Rocker Marilyn Manson married his longtime girlfriend, burlesque dancer Dita Von Teese, on Saturday in front of some 60 guests as fans and well wishers gathered outside, PEOPLE has learned.

The ceremony took place in Kilsheelan, County Tipperary, Ireland, at Castle Gurteen, the home of the couple's friend, artist Gottfried Helnwein. Contrary to rumors that the pair would exchange their blood during the ceremony, they actually traded vows they wrote for each other.

Manson (real name Brian Warner), 36, gave Von Teese (real name: Heather Sweet), 33, a wedding band from William Harold Jewelers in Newport Beach, Calif., where he also got her 7-carat, antique, European round-cut diamond engagement ring. The groom's wedding band is a custom-made platinum ring with onyx inlay from Dana Schneider.

The rocker wore a John Galliano black silk taffeta tuxedo with velvet trim and a Stephen Jones hat, while Von Teese donned a royal purple silk taffeta Vivienne Westwood gown complete with train and petticoats worn over a Mr. Pearl couture corset. Her outfit was accessorized with a tri-corn hat by Stephen Jones and shoes by Christian Louboutin.

Art film director Alejandro Jodorowsky, a longtime friend of the groom, married the couple in the non-denominational ceremony. German singer and bandleader Max Raabe provided the music. The guests included C.S.I.'s Eric Szmanda.

'Everyone expected Manson and Dita to have some sort of crazy vampire wedding, but anyone who knows the couple knew it would be the classy, stylish affair that it was,' a wedding guest tells PEOPLE. 'They are totally in love.'

The wedding celebration began on Friday night with a 9 p.m. supper in the Conservatory of the Kilshane House, the Regency country home where many of the wedding guests stayed.

Manson and Von Teese began dating on his 32nd birthday – Jan. 5, 2001. He proposed to her in their Los Angeles home on March 22, 2004. This is the first marriage for both.

A Lowdown spy at the NASCAR Nextel party the other night reports that DiScala showed up at Marquee with a personal bodyguard to protect him (from whom, exactly, wasn't clear). 'The guy walked everywhere with A.J.,' says the source. 'A.J. was sitting there [at a VIP table], and he'd be like, 'They're okay, you can let them in.' It was like being with Lindsay Lohan, but not.' Later that evening, poor DiScala was forced to come to terms with his place in the celeb food chain when he and his bodyguard were turned away from Bungalow 8.

Richie Sambora and Heather Locklear are due to celebrate their 11th anniversary Dec. 17, but to hear some people talk, their marriage may not last much past that.
Long seen as one of show business' sturdier couples, the Bon Jovi guitarist and the actress are said to be struggling to keep it together for the sake of their 8-year-old daughter, Ava.

'Richie is a sweetheart, but I don't know if he can take it much longer,' one of his pals tells us.

Sambora, who's 46 and grew up an only child, is said to have begged the 44-year-old Locklear to try for another baby.

'She refuses,' hisses the source. 'She's more concerned about resurrecting what's left of her career.'

Locklear, who starred on 'Melrose Place' and 'Spin City,' has had a busy year — with regular appearances on 'LAX' and 'Boston Legal' and a movie, 'The Perfect Man.'

After waiting for her to come home, Sambora has now hit the road with his band. And though Locklear joined the other Bon Jovi wives at the band's show in Chicago, she's been missing from other dates.

Celebrating her birthday recently in L.A., she invited her ex-husband, rocker Tommy Lee, to join the party at Koi. Sambora was not present.

Meanwhile, friends say she keeps her Richie — who, like Lee, is famous for his endowments — on a short leash.

'If he wants to go out for a beer with some friends, she's on his case,' says a source. 'He's loyal to her. But she needs 24-hour-a-day [butt]-kissing.'

Heather and Richie wish their 'friends' would shut up. 'The real story is that there is no story,' they told us in a joint statement. 'The truth is that after 11 years together, we are still happily married. Boring but true.'

It's also said that Sambora's bandmates barely tolerate her. During one stretch of the last tour, Jon Bon Jovi insisted on riding along in a different bus.

'If Richie divorced her, nobody would be heartbroken,' says a source.
