Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner have a new production the critics can't touch: Their daughter.

Garner gave birth to the girl at a Los Angeles hospital, Us Weekly reported Thursday. It was unclear if the baby made her debut on Wednesday or Thursday--the magazine said labor was induced Wednesday night.

'Ben was with her the entire time,' a source told Us.

The child is the first for both. Affleck, 33, and Garner, 34, wed June 29, almost two months after their expectant news was leaked.

In completing her labor day, Garner beats her prime-time alter ego to the nursery. Sydney Bristow, the Alias secret agent that made Garner a star, also is with child. Producers of the ABC spy series wrote in the pregnancy after Garner's was confirmed.

Alias was canceled last week by ABC. It'll finish its fifth and final season in May, after a previously scheduled eight-week-long maternity leave of sorts starting in January.

TV show or no, Garner's plate is full. In addition to the baby, she has a new movie, Catch and Release, due out next year. It's her first shot at headlining a real-people drama (from Erin Brockovich writer Susannah Grant) as opposed to a fantasy comedy (13 Going on 30) or a superhero adventure (Elektra).

Meanwhile, no bad reviews are good reviews for Father Affleck, who will not appear on the big screen in 2005--the first time that's happened since 1994. While it might seem as if romance, marriage and pregnancy has kept the actor otherwise occupied, he might have as many as three films out next year, including Truth, Justice and the American Way, about the 1959 death of TV Superman George Reeves.

Before marrying Garner, Affleck endured the worst box office and worst publicity of his career. When he wasn't making headlines for his overexposed, and eventually scuttled, engagement to Jennifer Lopez, he was launching dud (Gigli) after dud (Paycheck) after dud (Jersey Girl) after dud (Surviving Christmas).

Affleck and Garner met on the set of 2003's Daredevil--he was the titular hero; she was Elektra. The two began dating in 2004, after Affleck had moved on from Lopez, and after Garner had moved on from Alias costar Michael Vartan and first-husband Scott Foley.

Keaton laughs off Reeves romance rumour

Hollywood veteran Diane Keaton has laughed off reports she is dating her Something's Gotta Give co-star Keanu Reeves.

The Annie Hall actress, 59, has been romantically linked to 41-year-old Reeves since August.

Keaton says: 'Those reports are some of the most hilarious I've read in my life. I wish there was a link between Keanu and I, but I haven't seen him since filming ended.'

Meanwhile, single Keaton admits she is losing hope she will ever find love again.

She says: 'I have to be realistic. The chances of that now will be few and far between. I love men, but I have to face facts.'

BRITNEY SPEARS' one-time love rival SHAR JACKSON has turned down 'the role of a lifetime' in a new movie because producers wanted her to gain 60 pounds (27.2 kilograms).

The former MOESHA star gained weight after giving birth to Britney's stepson KALEB last year (04) and ballooned 30 pounds (13.6 kilograms) in a bid to land the part in the unnamed project.

But then producers decided she still wasn't big enough.

She explains, 'They go, 'Sorry, you're still not big enough. Can you put on another 30 (pounds)?'

Two 'Lost' stars arrested for DUI

Two stars of the Hawaii-based show 'Lost' has been arrested.

Police say they were drinking and driving after midnight on the windward side.

Two actresses from the hit show were arrested for driving under the influence. They were in separate cars.

It's the second DUI offense for one of them.

Michelle Rodriguez plays tough girl Ana Lucia on the popular show.

Cynthia Watros portrays newcomer Libby.

According to police, the two were pulled over around 12:35 Thursday morning in Kailua.

Each posted $500 bail and were released.

The Los Angeles agency representing Watros had no comment. We haven't heard back yet from the Rodriguez team.

But this isn't her first run-in with the law.

Rodriguez was arrested over a fight with a roommate. She's been in trouble for hit-and-run and DUI in Hollywood, and was ordered into a three-month alcohol program. Rodriguez is no stranger to Hawaii -- she also starred in the North Shore flick 'Blue Crush.'

Police in Hawaii have been on closer lookout for drunk drivers since the state launched a program called 52/12 this year.

Drunk driving arrests are up, around 3,000 so far this year -- make that 3,002.

Jason used to hit (ie, abuse) Alex M. when they dated. Per Alex M., the reason you didn't see that in the show is b/c MTV was trying to sell a fantasy. That is also why you don't see Alex M. and Jason actually break up.




'I went to lunch yesterday with my sister and her friend Miss K. Miss K. happens to work for Oprah. The other day, she was in the Harpo studios cafeteria getting breakfast, when lo and behold, there they were - Kristin, Jessica, Alex H. Alex M. and Taylor. Turns out they went to school with one of Harpo's marketing assistants and were there as her guests for the show. Miss K is a huge fan and was freaking out a bit (and she doesn't even freak out over celebrities!) and the marketing director said she would have the Laguna Beach girls stop by her office before they left.' So, there they were, the LB girls and Miss K which gave Miss K a chance to ask some pressing questions........here is the scoop:

• Jessica is not very smart (duh!) nor very pretty in person. She is in community college and not doing a whole lot. Miss K. asked her if her parents were mortified by her behavior - she said they weren't exactly pleased. She just used Jeff (boy that was at end of season) didn't really like him, just wanted someone to make out with.

• Stephen and Jason are good friends and live together in LA, but Jason is always at L.C's. Turns out he and LC never broke up and are still dating.

• Also, turns out Jason has some MAJOR issues - the reason he didn't go to graduation.......he didn't graduate. He failed his senior year. Ditto for Talan.

• More on Jason - he has been in and out of rehab about 3 times in the past year. He is also bipolar and is on some major medication. His grandparents are the wealthy ones and his parents don't really work -just live off of the grandparents.

• More on Talan - his mom used to be some actress so is pretty well-connected in Hollywood. The engagement to Kimberly Stewart is just a publicity stunt - they aren't really engaged. His mom is trying to coach him on getting himself into the limelight.

• Stephen and Kristin are dating - they just got back from a vacation together in Hawaii - she's not really dating that Jenner guy - another publicity stunt. Kristin is trying to 'make it' in Hollywood.

• Taylor is at school at the University of Arizona.

• Alex H. and Alex M. are roommates. Alex M. is trying to make it in the music world and Alex H. dates a guy in Alex M.'s backup band.

• Another tidbit - Jason used to hit (ie, abuse) Alex M. when they dated. Per Alex M., the reason you didn't see that in the show is b/c MTV was trying to sell a fantasy. That is also why you don't see Alex M. and Jason actually break up.

• LC is supposedly the meanest person of the bunch - they say she is the least approachable.

• Another thing, is apparently MTV and BMW have some sort of deal, which is why you always see them driving around in BMWs - ie, Kristin's dad didn't really buy her the BMW - she got it from MTV.
