IMO, No. My friend had her rehearsal two weeks before her wedding and I was going to do the same thing but two weeks before my wedding would be Labor Day Weekend.

Not if everyone is local. If you have people in the BP or relatives you want there that are from Out of Town, then it becomes a problem for those people.

Not at all..our will be about 1 week to 1 1/2 weeks before the wedding
You have to whats convinent for you, the church and everyone else

I'm getting married the week after New Year's, at this point I think I may have the rehersal in August

Ohhh, what we don't think of when we book! My option is the night before, which is hard b/c it would be a Thursday or the weekend before which is January 2 ... UGH.

I say, whatever is easier for you and your party, do it. Most poeple have been in weddings and know what they have to do, so two weeks before will be OK, no one will forget.

Not weird at all....probably less stress before the BIG DAY !

I don't think it's strange, the earlier you can get things done the better.

We did the actual 'rehearsal' part a week earlier.

Our 'rehearsal dinner' was really just a family & OOT family/guest dinner.

Our actual rehearsal will be the day of the wedding, but we're having the rehearsal dinner the Saturday before the wedding so it can be more layed back instead of rushed.

Not at all. And actually I did that. We wanted a week before, but too many bridal party memebers couldn't come. So we ended up having it two weeks before. I loved the idea. It is less stressful now for me and it really gave people time to enjoy themselves all night and not have to worry about getting to bed. Everyone was much for calm and I loved it and would do the same thing over again in a minute!!
