Opinions on this favor....UPDATED-WHAT TO ENGRAVE?

We were originally doing CD's and lotto scratch off tickets...These were a promotion for Things Remembered ( FMIL works there)...We can get these frames for next to nothing ( engraved) ....Is it the same sentiment as a CD...They are nice, they have Swavorski crystals on both sides..

Edited to say we would NOT engrave our NAMES on them...some type of universal quote or saying....

UPDATE_ Ok, we are going with these..WHAT do we engarve on the opposite side ( we are getting them tommorow so I need ideas fast) We want something short and sweet.???

Jmo- I hate getting things with peoples names engraved on them unless it is someone REALLY close (like an immediate family member)

I would never use it. Sorry.

What if we didnt get anything engraved then? We were gonna get a Quote engraved not our names by the way...

The frames are pretty but I agree with Sunny about the engraving.

ETA - I like the idea of engraving a quote and leaving them unegraved would be fine too.

I WOULD USE A cd MORE-BUT I THINK THEY ARE PRETTY, AND WOULD LOVE TO GET THEM AS A FAVOR.

I would use a CD - I have a wedding CD from a friends wedding that I listen too - reminds me of the good time I had since she including her intro song, first dance, special dance for her law school friends (includ. me), etc

Personally I think they are beautiful everyone could use a frame and get a cute quote in their PERFECT ...that is just my opinion !

I would give it away immediately. I can't dispaly anything with hearts in my home with a good conciense.

my shower favor was a heart shaped measuring cup. it is in a box where it will remain. other people liked it though

I also received toasting flutes with hearts that I am thinking the reception hall will 'misplace'

i'm not a fan of heart anything...i doubt i woulduse it. what about a different kind of frame, instead of a heart.

It's very cute, but it doesn't match anything Ihave, so I wouldn't use it. I may put it on my desk at work. I'd probably use a CD more, but then again, I have a particular taste in music, so I might not listen to it all. Go with what you and Fh would like to give, and don't worry too much about whether everyone will use it. Not everyone will, no matter what you give.

Honestly, I would not use them or a cd. I like the idea of a frame, just not that one.

If you use a quote then I think they are very cute.

The favor is great. Nobody has the perfect favor. Everyone may think they do but you will never please everyone.
Do whatever is in your budget?
I thought the frame was cute with a sentimental quote as opposed to personalizing them. Looks as if people will have to cut a small picture to fit in the heart though.
Think of the pros and cons.
You may not have to wrap a CD if you have a nice cover.
Wrapping is a whole other factor- Believe me!
