My dad and I danced to "You are My Special Angel" by Bobby Helms, it's an older song from the 60's (I believe) but it's just perfect. It's not the same old "father daughter" dance songs you always hear at weddings. Here are the lyrics:

I did the same, for the same reason. but I would've loved to have used Just the Way You Are by Billy Joel, I think it really describes my relationship with my dad.
Also Forever Young by Rod Stewart is a good one. and I LOVE Isn't She Lovely.
Oh, and of Three Men and a Little Lady fame  there's Peter Cetera's Daddy's Girl (it's a little fast, though)

On WedAlert.com you can listen to snippets of a bunch of songs, that is how I found mine.

We are using "In My Life" Dad is a HUGE Beatles fan and up until I went to school when someone said music I thought they meant the Beatles soo it was a no brainer for me....others songs I considered (eg. John Mayer's Daughters but this fits us.

I used "Lullaby" Billy Joel (I was moving to Alaska 3 days after the wedding and so it was a little bit depressing for that moment). There was not a dry eye in the room. Even the guys were crying. Wish we would have chosen something a little bit more upbeat. It took a while for the party to get going again. Turned it from a wedding reception to a farewell.
My sister is using "There goes my life" by Kenny Chesney.

But I dont remember who sings it. It's kind of contemporary country, but doesn't sound country-sh... the chorus goes something like " i loved her first/ i held her first/ from the first time she breathed/ first smiled at me/ i knew my heart would always be hers"
