so, if you are attending your cocktail hour...

Which I am - Are you still going to be 'announced' into your reception?
how are you working this. for some reason my head tells me that if we are attending the cocktail hour, we should not be announed. And I'm not entirely sure I want to be announced either....hmmmm...

I still plan to be announced along with our parents and the bridal party. I am doing it more for the bridal party and parents, I think its nice for them to be introduced so everyone knows who they are. We aren't doing a bridge though.

We are attending our CH for at least a portion of it...and we are still going to be announced into the reception. I don't think it's a big deal that people have already seen us before we are announced.

We will be! I always like the part when the DJ announces the bride and groom. I don't want to spend cocktail hour in a bridal suite, we've paid for fun and darn it I don't want to miss it!

We made it to the last half of ours. Once everyone was moved to the dining room, we were announced.

Same here. I think they can still do the whole, 'introducing for the first time as husband and wife..' thing. I don't want to miss my CH!!

Mostly b/c I just didn't want to b..
The day is formal enough, I wanted to get on with the party!
We had the band annouce us as they called us up for our first dance.

I hadn't really thought about it...but I plan on being announced at the reception, even though I will be at the CH.

every wedding I've been to (not that there have been so many ha ha) the bride and groom were at the CH, or part of it and still announced. I think ints cute to walk in together like that!

i attended my cocktail hour and still was announced. im really glad i did attend the cocktail it was something i was going back and forth about and my dh really wanted to be part a part of it so i gave in and was glad i did even the extra hour to greet the guests really helped

We did pictures first, so we were there the whole reception.. no intros.. after all we did have a reception line.

We got introduced at the formal reception.
