Well... My FI an di are getting married at wherever we have our reception. Im TOTALLY NOT taking pics b4 the ceremony so that means taking pics during CT hr which also doesnt make me happy. Im looking intro stretching CT hr to 1 1/2 so we do have time to greet people etc

Yup, with a smile on my face and a plate of food in my hands. FH and I will take pics with BP and family before the ceremony so that its easy for us to just go with the flow of the reception afterwards. I originallly wanted to be traditional and not see him before the ceremony, but then I found out my mom did the same thing where she did pics before the ceremony.

No we are going to be taking pics during the cocktail hour. We want to be introduced into the reception. Not going to the cocktail hour

Since we're getting married at Stonebridge and not seeing each other before the ceremony we have to take pics during the CH. Then we're gonna have our CH in the bridal suite. We like the idea of being introduced into the reception and that'll be the 1st time our guests see us as husband and wife.

Yes. We hope to greet our guests as they come in. Our church is at 3p, CH at 7p. We'll finish our pics in between, have some food with the BP in the bridal suites, then greet our guests.

Yes, if it is still going on after we're done taking pictures. We don't feel a need to miss out on our party. I don't think it makes the introduction at the reception any less special.

We will be at the cocktail hour for at least a 1/2 hour. We are taking pictures before the ceremony

FH & I will totally be at our cocktail hour. That is one of the reasons we chose to get married on a Friday - that way there is no limitations to when we can arrive at our catering hall to take pics. Our cocktail hour starts at 7:30pm but we will meet our families there earlier to finish pics & then we can enjoy our entire cocktail hour! That is where the best food is!

Yes. We are having our ceremony and reception at the same location. FH and I will already have seen each other because in Jewish weddings it is customary for the groom to make sure he is marrying the right person. In the 'Bedeken' the groom uncovers and re-covers the veils on his bride to make sure she's is the one. (Go back to the Old Testament where Jacob thought he was marrying Rachel when in fact he actually married her older sister Leah. Leah was older and according to her father had to be married first.) We also have to sign our ketubah before hand.

After our ceremony is a short period called 'Yichud' where the bride and groom have their first 'meal' alone together (usually small snacks) which doesn't last more than 10 minutes. It takes away the need for a receiving line which to me is time consuming, unnecessary and awkward for guests who are waiting 10 and 20 minutes.

So we will be greeting our guests at the cocktail hour to be able to enjoy our reception as guests at our own wedding rather than be anxious hosts.

yes! i dont beleive in hiding during my cocktail hour
for all that money, i really want to enjoy the food and drinks

yes, we are. We want each of our guests to feel special. My friend didnt and everyone noticed it.

I wish I could but I we will be taking pics, I don't want to see FI before the ceremony so during cocktail hour it is....

we are making a grand entrance. after the ceremony we are taking pic's then off to the hall in our own bridal suite for the cocktail hour. we don't anyone to see us till we are introduced as mr. and mrs.....

Yes, we are taking the pics before. The ceremony and reception are at the same place, so there is no time between the ceremony and the CH. If we were to take pics after the ceremony, we would miss CH and probably a part of the reception too. FH is very excited about CH food, so he will be greeting everyone with a plate in hand. I am a slob so I am afraid if I try to eat during CH I will wind up with food all over my dress.

I will not be attending the CH...In the bridal suite at Floral Terrace they bring everything up to you....I want to be introduced at the reception & that be the first time our guests see us husband & wife...FH says he is going to the CH

At first I wanted to do that too but I think I will go to some of the CH ....haven't really asked my FI yet
