Hmmm.. Maybe I should answer my own question!!!

Im having a live bongo player at my wedding. Its not very traditional for an Italian wedding, but it will definately get the croud on its feet!!!

at the ceremony- it being partial bilingual and also the hands ceremony cause i have never seen it done and i doubt many of my guests have

at the reception, i think everyone will love and remember the raw bar and sushi bar, live band (for Fh's family)

this is their first USA wedding...and LI does it up... so fh's fam will be blown away by a lot

I'm not really sure! I don't think that anyone in my family has seen the slipper baskets done so I think that'll prob be our 'special' thing.

But it could also be the teeny tiny bride and the giant groom that people remember!!

Me too!

Also, our tropical theme. FH will be sporting a simple tan suit (no tie) and nice sandals, we'll use lots of orchids and shells and beach theme favors/cake, etc.

I think our guests will make our wedding different. My mom is Christian, my father is Muslim and my FH is Jewish - so we are really have an interfaith wedding. I am so excited to see all of our families in the same place at the same time.

This is a great question -

I think there are a few things that will make our wedding stand out -

I ordered Snowflake napkin ring holders and place card holder - that match also cocktail napkins and bathroom towels that have the same snowflake on them ...

.....and one other thing that I think is really going to blow everyone away but I am not ready to let everyone know that secret yet....I will as time gets closer .....but it has to do with live entertainment

That sounds like fun. We will be the first traditional wedding in both or our families, so it's going to be great!!! I think that everything about it will stand out

oh yeah, plus the fact that my fam & FI's fam are so different (my parents are bikers ) that should make it very memorable!

I don't know.. all of FH's family and friends are from upstate, so all of our LI wedding will stand out to them.. other than that, I would have to say the live musicians we are having along with the DJ.

My location is really really unique and I think people will remember the views from the reception hall (NYC skyline and the Throgs Neck Bridge)

Plus I want them to remember how much fun it was!!

The hand cermony at the reception, our yacht arrival, our 3 peice jazz enameble at the CH, Votive place cards, the frank sinatra singer during the reception, and we are going to have a wedding photoalbum that our DOC coordinator will take and later on in the evening all that have their pics taken will write something under their photo

I also think that we may have some pretty glass vases that are labled: Wedding advise and have our guests write some wedding advise to the new couple

I am also trying to hire some friends of my brother to shoot off fire works at the pier!

My FH uncle might do a comedy act after dinner. He is a comedian.

FI's family is from upstate also and have never been to a LI wedding before, so I dont think they really know what to expect.. but some of the things that we are having that will probably stand out are

Steel band drummers
Seafood boat
Roasting pig
Chocolate Fountain
OOT baskets
Post wedding brunch

We will be arriving to cocktail hour on a yacht (if weather permits)!

Our ceremony is outside overlooking the water!
