I want to do both but I dunno if I want to have the person who catches the garter put it on the person with the bouquet

I'm planning to do bouquet toss.....not yet sure about garter. I'll discuss with FH....he'll probably want to, because he tends to go with what he has seen at past weddings.

We didn't do it - we dedicted a song to his parents - their 49th wedding anniversary was the following week.

we did both. And the girl who caught the bo-k danced with DH and the guy who caught the garter danced with me. So, it wasn't a 'singles only' event. Everyone got up to participate. It was so funny watching all the married people run up to the dance floor. hehehehehe

We chose to do it this way b/c we had one single person at our wedding.

We didn't do either. Not enough single people at our small wedding and we didn't want to single anyone out .

We are not...not enough single people plus...I always hate seeing it at weddings...it breaks things up when people are dancing and having a good time plus any wedding I've been to it was a fight to get any single people out there...

We did it. My sister would kill me if she didnt get a chance to catch the bo-k. And DH wanted to throw the garter. It was fun!

I am going to do this.. Can't wait to see all my aunts run for a chace to dance with my FH!!

I really like this idea! I went to a wedding 2 weeks ago where the girl and the guy who caught the bo-k/garter were 1st cousins! how uncomfortable!

Not doing either...still debating on wheather we will toss the boquet after we get out of the church...the old way...no single ladies only...just toss it into the crowd...
