Disasterous Wedding Morning!!!!!!!UPDATE at bottom.

I cant even begin to tell you how much went wrong my wedding day.
Lilas Hair salon in Queens, NEVER EVER GO THERE!!!!!! I had originally went to marcos for my 1st trial and then i met Nereida at Lilas and had a trial with her, I loved it and it was $100 less than Maros, so i booked with her for my wedding day.
When i went to get my hair done the morning of the wedding, Nereida said my ends were fried and she said she needed to cut half inch off, so i was really not to happy about that but she insisted, so i said ok, then she decided to put all my hair up which was not what i had at my trial, but she said its pouring outside and if you do an updo it wont frizz so i agreed. So anyway we didnt put on my veil because of the rain, so when i went to my moms house, my sister was putting on my veil when one of the curls got loose, and i hear my sister say OH MY GOD and im like what what tell me, and she says she cut off all your hair its shoulder length, i thought she was kidding and she was like im serious, your hair is like 7-8 inches shorter, well i started ripping curls out to see my hair and sure enough she cut it shoulder length and thats why she insisted i put it up so i wouldnt see and she had me turned away from the mirror during the styling. At that moment i started to get hysterical, i cried for about an hour and missed my makeup appt, i had booked with Mac. I couldnt even think about getting my makeup done i was so hysterical. My mother had to call My now hubby to try to get me to stop crying, so he came to my moms house to calm me down, He couldnt belive how much she cut off, but kept telling me, your beautiful, it doesnt matter how long or short your hair is. Finally i calmed down and he left to go get ready, and then of course at that moment Aunt flo decided to Visit. So now im pissed and very late, i was supposed to be on the road to the hall and i didnt even have makeup or hair done. So i left anyway, when i got to the hall my sister did my makeup and tried to put my hair up and nothing made me happy, i felt like i couldnt breath and ran outside for a little air. so i finally calm down, i just stuck the tiara on my head and clipped the veil in, because at that point i didnt even care anymore what i looked like. Then to top off my pre wedding day, I walk into the reception room to see what it looked like and of course we had the wrong wedding cake. At that pont nothing mattered to me my entire wedding day was ruined in my eyes. And of course my day couldnt get any worse right? Wrong, my shoe strap broke, i lost my purse and someone stole the disposable cameras off some of the tables. Oh and the GRAND finale of my disasterous day, I trip with my dad walking up the step as im about to walk down the aisle but make it to the alter and of course there was a leak right above me in the chapel from all the rain! oh and then 4 not 1 but 4 cell phones went off during the ceremony, including the MOHs who forgot to shut the ringer. So that was my pre wedding day disasters. But i will tell you this, when i saw My Love standing at the alter and he whispered you look beautiful, I love you, I forgot everything that went wrong. Even my messy hair!!!!!!!!!!!!

OMG I'm so sorry so much went wrong with your wedding morning!!! But I am happy to see that you were able to focus on the really important part of your wedding, your DH! That was very touching

Wow! What a day. It was so nice to hear you say that all was well when you saw hubby standing there! Enjoy your honeymoon.

I started for you, and then I got to the end and really , despite all the horror, your now H (no F), made everything a distant memory.

Oh yeah i forgot to mention that I called Nerieda at Lilas salon and flipped out on her and she insists she only cut an inch of my hair and that my hair was short when i came in, tell me what you think? I havent cut my hair in over a year, heres a pic from Dec, one from Jan, one from my shower last month and my wedding pic, tell me if this looks like an inch to you ladies?

Oh, I am so sorry all those things went wrong. Just focus on what went right and how much fun you had afterward. You have your husband now!! What are you going to do with the hair salon? I would take pics if you plan on fighting somehow.

I want to bring pics, but DH thinks that i should let it go because i keep making myself sick from thinking about it. But i was soooooooooooo MAD!

OMG!

As someone who had a pretty disastrous morning also, I completely understand how you felt. The happiest day of your life, yet you can't stop yourself from crying like a baby. Thankfully, you have a great and amazing man that loves you and I know his love and support meant a world of difference. He's really an awesome person and it's obvious that he loves you just as you are...short hair or not.

Even though the morning started less than *ideal* you WERE a beautiful bride...you look very happy in your pictures and it sounds like your wedding was amazing!

I promise that with time you will be able to put it all in perspective and maybe laugh about it one day...I *can* tell you that it won't be a month and a half from now because I still can't laugh about my day!

And it rained (it drizzled on mine too), that's a blessing...!

OMG! I am so sorry that this happened to you!!!

You should write a book about it... or at least a TV Episode...

I'm glad to hear that at least seeing 'your love' made it all go away... for that is what it is ALL really about anyway!
