David's Bridal probably has some for under $500.

ETA: Definitely check David's website, I saw some pretty gowns in between $400.00-$500.00. But remember alterations cost $ too.

Jcrew has a new bridal line - some are $$$$, but a few are simple, elegant and under $500

Jessica McClintock has very reasonably priced gowns under $500 or try samples anywhere

and they're new location in the Source Mall is VERY nice!! huge improvement.

I'm having mine made for $500 including material....if you have a design in mind or pieces of dresses you love - she can do it!

My dress is actually $5,500!!! UH RIGHT.

Thats what mine is...got it from Bloomindales though, it was really affordable.

The Wedding Center sells all their samples (many never tried on) for $100. All sizes, 2-24.

I would try looking anywhere. You never know where you can find a gorgeous gown that can be used for your wedding. Since it outdoors you could go with anything. I would try Rossevelt field or any boutique.

I second those recomendations. David's and Jessica McClintock. I gottwo dresses off of Ebay also. If you know of one you like you might be able to find a vendor on ebay that sells it.

Definitely, another very reasonable place, although I didn't mention them because they were higher. but, there were some that were less than $500 and they will give you much better service than David's Bridal so it's worth a look!
