We've received stemware from my side of the family (aunt & grandma) and some cash from FI's side of the family.

We didn't have an engagement party.

no eparty, a small check from my grandparents (which was my last gift from my grandpa, so no matter the amount-it will always be my most cherished wedding gift) and I think that's it.

I feel wierd saying this....I almost feel like Im being a brat, but we havent gotten anything...from anyone. Most of our friends have gotten married within the past year, and we have gone out of our way for them....It hurts my feelings

I really feel that although we did get some, it really surprised me on who we didn't get one from...not even a card congratulating us on our engagement

It makes me a little angry b/c I am a very thoughful person and never miss an occasion even if I send only a card! Some people are just not as thoughtful!

yes i have, some really aweful gifts, some great so we registered to get the things we wanted... we did not register fully but just enough to get things we want.

only got about 3 or 4 gifts (no e-party) - - ranging from a picture frame, to towels, to crystal stemware (FIL's).

two of my cousins got engaged after I did. we gave them both a check, and their mom (they are bro and sis) paid for their eparty and is paying the bulk of both weddings.....

I didn't get anything from either of them, but I am just trying to let it roll off my back- they are really very nice and we get along, so I am chalking it up to the fact that we did not have an eparty.

recently we all agreed to forgo giving each other gifts at the wedding, and just purchase something for each others showers.

Yes ....we did get a few things from friends and family and then everyone found out that we were having a party so the rest just held off

yes! many excellent gifts. my macys registry was practically wiped out. we are opting not to have an engagement party

Yes! We didn't even have a party and I have a ROOM full of amazing gifts! People have been so generous!!!

We didn't have an e-party either, but we did get a ton of cards. Some with dinero in them some without. We also got a few gifts from our registry. They were all nice surprises. I wasn't expecting anything.

We did not and are not having an e-party BUT my closet looks like a LENOX outlet store. We got many engagement gifts and a few housewarming gifts. Do not be surprised if people buy your birthday and holiday gifts from your registries until your wedding. I didnt plan on using any of the gifts until we are married (im a bit superstitious) but the gifts we got for my birthday, I am going to use.

We had an e-party but it was only close fam and bridal party (about 60 people) so we got gifts then. But we also got gifts off our registries from parents friends, other relatives and neighbors. We got some cash too!

Since we had an e-party we got most gifts at our e-party, but a few people who were not invited (it was immediate family and BP only) did give us gifts. It also really suprised me at who we got gifts from and who we didn't....

We didn't have an e-party and received quite a few engagement gifts from both our parents, FH's sisters, and and two aunts and two cousins on FH's side. I was really surprised at how many gifts we got, we really weren't expecting anything, but we were very grateful for it.

We didn't have an engagement party, but we got some monetary gifts from family, a pair of toasting flutes, and a beautiful pottery bowl from one of my bridesmaids.
