I'm so nervous to get my wisdom teeth taken out tomorrow

I had all four taken out.. Trust me you are going to be ok..If they give you the option get put to sleep, you will have less pain in the long run...

Are u taking out all 4?I took out the top two and it really wasn't that bad.. and this is coming from someone who faints at the sight of blood/pain!
They were just extracted while I was awake... if I did the bottom two, the Dr said they would have to knock me out.
Don't worry either way.. you'll be fine!

Oh- and another word of advice...
Bring someone along with you! They're allowed in the room to hold your hand. FH couldn't make it that day (since I only had a day's notice) so my dad went! It'll be fine, either way... just close your eyes and it'll be done b4 you know it!

I had it done too - if you're under anesthesia, it's like nothing ever happened. They give you pain kiillers after that. It's easy, don't worry !:)

i need to have mine traken out soon too :(how many days does it take to recover? I dont want to take too many days off so i was thinking maybe getting them done the thurs before columbus day weekend so i would just take that fri off the have sat-mon to recover

Thanks girls I'll keep you postedand about the recovery question......I don't know, I think everyone is different. My doctor signed for the whole week off so that is what I took.

I had my 4 wisdom teeth taken out when I was 16 or else they could have truly messed up my tooth alignment. I ended up black and blue on my face and a little sore. No biggie though. Childbirth is worse (I imagine).

You will be fine..the most pain happens 6-8 hours after the extraction...remember do whatever they tell you to do after the surgery...if they tell you to take the pain medication as soon as you get home..do it...you will feel better
