Sandals Grande in St. Lucia

We decided to go here for our honeymoon. The swim up lagoon room looks amazing. Anyone go there? is that room worth the extra money? Any comments about the resort?

Re: Sandals Grande in St. Lucia

We stayed in the swim up room as well and LOVED it!! I think it is worth it. All in all I thought the entire trip was a little expensive, but for the service and everything it was so worth it.

Here is a link to some pictures of our honeymoon:

Re: Sandals Grande in St. Lucia

I agree that the swim up room is worth it.

And if AT ALL POSSIBLE try to fly into the little airport. The big one is a really long and annoying drive from the resort!

Oh yeah!!!! The close airport is about 20 minutes away. Do your absolute best to go to this airport (I think the abbrev for it is - SLU). The other one is a little more than 1 1/2 hours away and the roads are NOT fun.

We are staying at the Grande for 10 nights, I can't WAIT! We will just miss each other, we will be there from the 16th to the 26th.

We were speaking to a rep at the Bridal Expo the other night, she said it was a 15 minute drive to the Halcyon and a 30 minute drive to the Regency from the Grande.

Re: Sandals Grande in St. Lucia

We booked a luxury oceanfront room. I really hope to be able to look at the water from the balcony. We are flying into the closer airport.
My FSIL has stayed at the Regency-husband is a big golfer. She said to at least go to the Halcyon for dinner at the Pier (I think that is what it is called). She said that they would stay at the Grande if they went back.

My FI wants to splurge on a room service room. Thats important to him. Do you know if there are any buffets?

It took us about 1 1/2 hours to the Regency and 2 hours to the Grande!! The small airport (SLU) is 15 to 20 minutes from each. SO WORTH IT!!
