Need Help with Honeymoon: Cabo San Lucas...

Okay, after much debate and going back and forth, we've settled on Cabo San Lucas.

Can anyone recm'd something similar to Royal Hideaway (Mayan Riviera?)

Honeymoon oriented - no kids and such....doesn't have to be all-inclusive.

TIA

p.s. nothing on the HM board...

Re: Need Help with Honeymoon: Cabo San Lucas...

Hi!

We went to Cabo for our honeymoon. I think that two resorts you might want to look into are las Ventanas and maybe Riu. I believe both were adults only. Also - go to Tripadvisor.com to confirm and see what other options are available for you.

Cabo was great - we had the best time. It's a beautiful place and the people are very helpful and friendly.

I saw scenes of Cabo San Lucas in a movie once and fell in love with it. If you go, take lots of pics!!

I haven't seen too many people on here going to Cabo for their HM, so when you mentioned it, it just stood out. Can't wait to see pics!

Re: Need Help with Honeymoon: Cabo San Lucas...

We went to Cabo for our HM and stayed at Dreams in Los Cabos. It was gorgeous. Dreams is All-Inclusive and really excellent. There are five restaurants, one better than the other and three bars. I saw alot of people with the RIU wristbands on when we went downtown so it seems very popular. I saw the RIU and it is huge! Dreams is much smaller and further from town, so it depends on what you're looking for. I would have loved to stay at the One and Only Palmilla for a couple of nights (where the folks at work stay when they go). It's very expensive and they were booked solid anyway.

We made our decision after reading reviews on Trip Advisor, so I'd advise searching on there.

Re: Need Help with Honeymoon: Cabo San Lucas...

Funny, it is one of three places we are considering...actually Los Cabos, which is in between Cabo and something else...we are considering the Palmilla Resort, Las Ventanas and check out the Westin...

pretty cheap and it looks great....

The Royal Hideaway Playacar is not scheduled to reopen b/c of Wilma until March 2006 - that was just too close for comfort for FI and I.

I know! we have a whole list of resturants- the deal we got was so good- we plan on dining in cabo every night- to me the all inclusive is nice for breakfast and lunch and drinks

but when I go some where I like to check out everything- I can't stay at the hotel the whole time

I can't wait to go out in cabo!
